Duda Farm Fresh Foods is seeking a FSQA/QC Technician to support food safety and quality programs at our Belle Glade facility. This role ensures compliance with food safety practices, verifies product meets customer specifications, and confirms processing rooms meet standards prior to start-up and throughout production.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct food safety and quality inspections during production
Enforce GMPs and food safety procedures; document non-compliance and corrective actions
Verify product quality, labeling, packaging, and date accuracy
Perform inventory age reports and collect product samples
Calibrate QA tools; monitor water systems, ATP swabs, and metal detection
Maintain accurate and organized food safety documentation
Collect environmental, equipment, water, and field samples as needed

The Opportunity

About the Role:
Atria is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor for our in-office laboratory in West Palm Beach. This position will oversee the collection, processing, and testing of in-office orders of waived and moderate complexity assays, interaction with partner labs for send-out of high complexity testing, and maintain of the laboratory with a focus on compliance and safety. The position is on-site during business hours on weekdays with occasional need for additional coverage due to clinical and business needs. We are looking for an energetic and motivated leader with a passion for quality, continual improvement, and delivering exceptional clinical care.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years in a high complexity clinical laboratory with experience in Hematology and Chemistry required. Experience with waived and moderate laboratory operations is desired. The ideal candidate has experience with phlebotomy and patient facing care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day technical and regulatory oversight of the laboratory
Ensure compliance with CLIA and FL DoH regulations and standards
Verify test procedures and monitor performance criteria, including accuracy and precision
Enroll and participate in proficiency testing programs
Maintain and employ the quality control program
Resolve technical problems and ensure corrective actions are taken
Identify training needs and ensure regular in-service training for testing personnel
Evaluate the competency, proficiency, and confidence of all testing personnel
Oversee the process of collection, preparation, and submission of testing to external partner labs
Prepare samples and perform waived and moderate complexity testing
Maintain inventory and interact with purchasing and finance as needed
Compensation:
$85,000 - $105,000
Requirements
Extensive documentation experience, including maintenance of records, the creation of forms and documents to support operations, and a record of review/audit experience
Practiced and successful history of problem resolution through Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and Change Management
Demonstrable capabilities as a bench tech in Hematology and Chemistry
Deep understanding of test orders, requisitions, specimen preparation, accessioning, and data flows from LIMS to EMR
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
Certification with ASCP or similar is a preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Biological or Chemical sciences, Clinical Science, or related field.
At least 6 years of experience in a CLIA certified high complexity testing laboratory.

Job Summary
Clinical Laboratory Assistants (CLAs) perform duties in the laboratory that are above the complexity level of a phlebotomist, but not yet to the level of a medical laboratory technician
They are to collect specimens, do specimen processing, perform limited waived laboratory testing, assist technicians and technologists with maintenance and reagent preparation, plate samples for microbiology, and perform preparation of specimens for testing from alternative laboratory sources
Essential Functions
Verifies test requisitions by comparing information with nursing station log, bringing discrepancies to the attention of unit personnel
Verifies patient by reading patient identification. Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and fingersticks
Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique, following department procedures, observing isolation procedures
Collects therapeutic drug-monitoring assays by collaborating with nursing personnel to ensure appropriate drug dose to collection time
Tracks collected specimens by initialing, dating, and noting times of collection; maintaining daily tallies of collections performed
Maintains quality results by following department procedures and testing schedule; recording results in the quality-control log; identifying and reporting needed changes
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
Resolves unusual test orders by contacting the physician, pathologist, nursing station, or laboratory testing personnel; referring unresolved orders back to the originator for further clarification; notifying supervisor of unresolved orders
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and TJC standards

Assists with laboratory clerical work. Answers phones, receives specimens and performs preanalytical preparation for samples including send-outs
Coordinates and actively enhances laboratory workflow by loading instruments, setting up plates, and performing waived testing per laboratory procedures. Performs pending log resolution. Calls critical values to actionable care providers
