What Will You Do in This Role
Provide cost-effective equipment inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair service on a variety of medical devices
Complete all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure complete documentation for billing and required regulatory compliance.
Communicate with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license. Must have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies.

The Research Technologist assists in study execution; collects samples from and administers agents to research animals in accordance with IACUC standards with a large focus on necropsy on multiple species. Participation in other pathology and study specific related duties (tissue collection, trimming, specimen processing and management, etc.) will be required. What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking an outstanding synthetic materials chemist to establish both an independent research program and a develop a user program with capabilities on offer to the external user community at the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT), a DOE-funded user facility. Our ideal candidate is a recognized synthetic materials chemistry expert with a substantive body of doctoral-level research performed in an academic or other professional research and development settings who has the proven capability to operate at a high level within a DOE user facility or other such formal research center. The successful candidate will be a synthetic chemist working in an area of interest to the Soft, Biological, and Composite Nanomaterials Thrust at CINT. Of particular interest are synthesis, characterization, and applications of polymers and/or nanoparticles, but outstanding candidates working to synthesize other materials that have synergistic opportunities will be considered. The successful candidate will support AI-guided design, combinatorial synthesis, and circular materials workflows

+ Lead the development of new synthetic techniques in materials chemistry.

About Our Team:
The Nanosystems Synthesis and Analysis Department consists of CINT scientific research staff assigned to the Physical, Chemical, & Nanosciences Center at Sandia National Laboratories. CINT is a DOE/Office of Science National User Facility operated jointly by Sandia and Los Alamos National Laboratories with facilities at both Laboratories. The CINT Science Department is dedicated to establishing the scientific principles that govern the design, performance, and integration of nanoscale materials into microscale and macroscale systems and devices.

Position Summary:

Essential Functions:
Utilizing appropriate laboratory procedures, skin tissues are stained with special dyes and mounted on slides for the Mohs Surgeon.
Maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, microtomes and stainers.
Responsible for Quality Control, proficiency and competency testing and regulatory compliance.
Maintains the department inspection ready at all times, in accordance with CLIA-88 regulations, (CFR 493.1451, CFR 493.1487 -1491)

Laboratory technician job in Paraje, NM
Under general supervision of Laboratory Supervisor, perform phlebotomy, accessioning, specimen processing, and ordering. Work closely with providers to ensure accuracy of lab orders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform phlebotomy on adult, geriatric pediatric or infant patients by venipuncture or dermal puncture as appropriate.
Verify patient information, correctly label lab samples, and match laboratory requisition forms.
Explain collection procedures to patients.
Collect and process various lab samples using appropriate collection procedures. Maintain specimen integrity.
Maintain quality control records and logs as required by policy.
Perform data entry.
Communicate with patients for sample re-collections.
Communicate with reference laboratory as frequently as needed.
Provide sample analysis results to physicians.
Dispose of biohazard waste in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and policies.
Maintain and correctly utilize lab equipment. Follow all health and safety protocols.
Train other medical personnel in phlebotomy, point-of-care testing methods, and other laboratory duties.
MINIMUM MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED. Completion of Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist or Medical Technology/Laboratory Science program from an accredited college or university. Associate Degree in related field preferred.
Three (3) months of phlebotomist experience in a clinical healthcare setting OR 40 hours of classroom training in phlebotomy and 120 hours of clinical or practical training in blood drawing from an accredited training/educational program preferred.
Current certification/registration as a Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant, or Medical Laboratory Technologist preferred.
Current BLS certification or must obtain with 30 days of hire.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of laboratory policies, procedures, practices, including infection control requirements, chemical and biological hazards.
Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies and standards.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent motor skills and ability to draw blood.
Ability to maintain a professional, clean and neat appearance.
Must treat patients with a gentle touch and calm, unhurried manner.
Ability to maintain accurate medical documentation and records.
Strong attention to detail. Data entry and computer skills.
Proficiency in the use of computers, electronic health record such as EPIC, RPMS, MEDENT, NEXGEN or other similar software.
Ability to collect and compile information for technical support work including but not limited to reports of findings.
Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide exemplary customer service.
Must be responsible, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality of information

Assist with the processing of cytology specimens
Perform other duties as assigned relating to the responsibilities of a Histology Technician
Qualifications
An Associate degree from an accredited educational institution
ASCP professional certification or equivalent Nationally-recognized Histology Technician certification or categorical certification in histopathology
A minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years - PREFERRED
All candidates must be able to:
Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
Lift up to 20 lbs
Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
