JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Successful candidate will work independently to perform a wide range of quality assessments tasks. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for the quality of incoming supplier products to ensure products meet the company's quality standards and support the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.
Job responsibilities will include:
Analysis and tests of raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance to specifications and customer and regulatory requirements
Reviewing and understanding customer certifications and purchasing requirements which include knowledge in blue prints, specifications, and contracts
Performing dimensional and visual inspection in accordance with written planning and procedures
Proactive attitude toward learning/training and be capable of working in a dynamic team environment
Creation of area and job specific training documents and standard work or task instruction sheets
Supporting and advancing a strong safety culture
Understanding and adhering to company policies and procedures
Interfacing with numerous engineering, manufacturing and quality teams and customers
Must be able to support off-shift, weekends, holidays and overtime work as needed
Physical demands include standing or moving about the plant
May require up to 15% travel to support source inspections at suppliers
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.

Position Summary:

Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated proficiency with biomechanical assessment tools such as 3D Motion Capture (Vicon preferred), Force Platforms (AMTI, Bertec, Kistler), and IMU's (APDM, Xsens, Shimmer).
Proficiency using programming software (Visual 3D, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, C++) for data collection, reduction, and analysis.
Strong background in parametric and non-parametric statistical modelling (linear and non-linear regression, ANOVA, Wilcoxon Signed-Rank, Spearman's Rank) and digital signal processing.
Experience in computer instrumentation and equipment integration.
Experience writing research proposals and compiling test results.

Performs aseptic sampling and microbiological analyses of packaging materials, raw materials, and finished products according to standard methods to determine conformance to specifications.

Student at Weber State University
Successful completion of Principles of Chemistry I Chem 1210 lecture and 1215 lab or higher level chemistry courses and labs.
Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to work well with others and attention to details.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference given to Chemistry and Biochemistry majors/or other related majors. Preference given to applicants who are Federal Work Study eligible.
Work Study is preferred for this position but is open for students as well.

The Technician, Laboratory Minerals under general supervision performs laboratory tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of solid, liquid, or gaseous materials for such purposes as quality control, process control, or product development by performing the following duties.
* Performs routine laboratory testing, following relevant company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and methods.
* Prepares a representative subsample from client sample that meets specific requirements using defined methods (Dry, Crush, Pulverize, Pressure Filter, Mix, Riffle Split, etc.).
* Weighs and digest samples for analysis, using relevant equipment.
* May completes and maintain laboratory reports.
* Receives, sorts and logs client samples into the data base, and prepares samples' labels.
