Job Title General Laborer Under direct supervision in operations, loads and unloads materials, parts, or products manually or by mechanized means. Transfers finished products and raw materials about plant and warehouse, using hand truck. Delivers production items to designated work areas for processing. Delivers processed units to storage or for the next stage of processing. Stacks processed items in warehouse. Packs products in containers. Cleans around work areas. All tools must be maintained and utilized in the proper manner, informing management of any issues. General Laborers are also responsible for the safe use of equipment on site including the cleanliness of worksite and fleet vehicles. The role of a Maintenance Skilled Laborer is to perform construction and maintenance projects and tasks, complete building and systems repairs, and ensure that all systems and structures are functioning efficiently and safely. This role is crucial for preventing breakdowns, extending the lifespan of equipment, and maintaining a safe environment. The selected applicant will be based within EHA's maintenance shop in our 221 S. 4th Street building; however, you will travel frequently between EHA's various properties within the City of Easton to complete their assigned jobs and projects. As such, a valid driver's license is mandatory. Additionally, you must reside within 25 miles of 221 South 4th Street. Easton Housing Authority (EHA) has an opening in our Property Management Department for a Maintenance Laborer . This position will report directly to EHA's Maintenance Supervisor with dotted-line reporting as necessary to the Manager-Property Management. The role of a Maintenance Laborer is to assist in the maintenance, trash, cleaning, repair, and upkeep of buildings, facilities, and equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of doors within commercial buildings. I. Essential (Core Competencies) Duties * Install, repair, and maintain commercial door hardware systems including locks, hinges, handles, and closers. * Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine installation procedures. * Measure and cut materials to fit specific door dimensions and hardware requirements. * Ensure proper alignment, operation, and functionality of doors and hardware. * Test hardware and doors for proper functioning and security. * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to door hardware and mechanisms. * Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on larger construction projects. * Adhere to safety protocols and standards while working on-site. * Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional relationships with clients. II.
