Job Summary: The responsibility of the crater is to ensure that product is packaged/crated in accordance with Allen Industries Inc, best practices and procedures.
Essential Functions:
Fabricates wooden crates or boxes using woodworking hand tools and powered tools to package or crates various products, signs and materials for domestic and international shipment using company approved packaging and crating procedures
Assembles materials using nailing or stapling machine, screws, bolts, glue and hand tools.
Places product in container manually or using hoist
Operate some or all of the following tools in a safe manner according to OSHA and company guidelines:
Electric/pneumatic drill
Jig saw
Impact gun
Chop saw
Cordless drill
Table saw
Iron worker
Sander
Variety of hand tools
Follow the rules and regulations related to the safety of all employees working for the Company
Adherence to all mandated safety procedures including: driving policy, production area safety requirements and fire safety
Safety requires all employees to review materials provided by the Company related to any updates on safety procedures
Informs management of any safety related issues
Ensures safety of self and others through proper use and care of equipment/work area
Handles and operates all equipment in a careful and safe manner
Maintains tools and equipment in good working order and stores them properly
Keeps all work areas neat and clear of potential hazards
Perform the following duties in preparation for product release
Faces: Clean all faces and check for proper color and registry marks. Touch up as needed
Install faces on signage while illuminated (test lit), including the use of drill and rive-nut gun
Faces being installed on ABS signs need to be piloted
Lamps: On all signs, install proper lamps and conduct test lit process. Address any issues with electrical and QC departments
Install base wood on all single face signs for the crating department
Apply UL and Allen Industries stickers to all signs using proper amperage levels
Clean and check all signs for proper construction
Manually move and manipulate signs weighing up to 50 lbs. For heavier signs, a forklift is available.

Assist with pouring concrete walls, floors, footings, etc.
Perform hand excavations, backfills and fine grading of foundations.
Push or pull loads as they are lowered and deposited in place.
Complies with company policies and safety regulations.
Accesses confined spaces such as tunnels, shafts or pits.
Perform other duties as assigned
Address safety issues, i.e. replace guard rail, hole cover etc.

What We're Looking For:
Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. Completion of apprenticeship program is preferred as well.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Skills: The candidate must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure. Ability to make complex cuts not to waste material, and figure out complex forming systems. Training and complying with all safety rules, and performing without constant supervision are also requirements of this position.
Language Skills: A qualified candidate must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Candidate must also be able to write routine correspondence and speak effectively with customers and co-workers.
Physical Demands:

Job Summary:
The masonry bricklayer is responsible for the construction, repair, and maintenance of structures made from bricks, blocks, and stones. This includes laying bricks and other materials to build walls, partitions, and other structural elements according to specifications and blueprints.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to blueprints, specifications, and construction plans.
Measure and mark guidelines for accurate bricklaying.
Use tools such as levels, plumb bobs, and string lines to ensure precision.
Operate and maintain masonry tools and equipment, including trowels, chisels, and mixers.
Requirements:
5+ years of proven experience as a bricklayer.
Proficiency in masonry techniques.
Valid Drivers License

Assembles materials using nailing or stapling machine, screws, bolts, glue and hand tools.

Clean and check all signs for proper construction
Manually move and manipulate signs weighing up to 50 lbs. For heavier signs, a forklift is available.
