This is a travel position focused on Sacramento, Vallejo, and Santa Rosa. In this role you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. Duties will include general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor. Services may include placing poles, anchors and guys, aerial strand and cable, direct buried pipe, trenching cable, conventional and directional boring, placing underground conduit systems, performing inside wiring, cabling, and testing and maintenance services. As a Carpenter or Construction Laborer at Essel, you will be involved in a variety of projects, including residential and commercial construction. Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to: * Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications * Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materials * Installing and assembling structures and fixtures * Performing general construction tasks, such as digging and leveling * Operating power tools and other construction equipment * Assisting with site cleanup and organization We are looking for candidates who are reliable, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic.
