Job Summary:
The Laborer works on the construction site and is responsible for cleaning the site to prepare it, removing hazards, loading and unloading materials, and operating and using various tools and equipment to complete assigned tasks.
Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
· Attend and participate in morning and afternoon job specific safety / huddle meetings as needed
· Operate various tamping machines as per specifications
· Inspect machines, equipment and assist with everyday maintenance
· Assist with loading, unloading, and preparing of jobsite materials
· Maintain neat and clean work area
· Inspect and operate hand tools for various activities
· Assist the operator with excavation of trenches, placement of shoring and backfilling procedures
· Dig entry and exit pits
· Placement of conduit in open trenches
· Proofing conduits
· Potholing existing utilities
· Assist with rigging and setting of structures
· Forming and pouring of concrete
· Prep and placement of asphalt
· Maintain safety of company vehicles and ensured optimal utilization
· Ensure compliance to customer requirements and completed activities
· Observe and promote safety compliance
· Complete required safety training annually
· Report injuries and other accidents to the foreman
· Assist coworkers in ensuring site is clean and organized at the end of each shift
· Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· High school or equivalent education
· Valid Driver's license
· Reliable transportation to various jobsites in the area
· Subject to pre-employment background check, drug test, and MVR
o Subject to random drug screenings

Summary of Position: Komro Sales is seeking a construction foreman who will work with and lead a construction crew while collaborating with project managers. They must possess Komro Sales ideas of improvement, quality, adaptability, and motivation, as well as advancing their skill level and growing with the company.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Ability to lead a team of 2-8 construction laborers
Evaluate on site challenges and execute solutions as quickly and efficiently as possible
On-site coordination of materials, equipment, crew, and vendors to meet daily and weekly project deadlines.
Promote teamwork and clear communication with other departments to increase efficiency and profitability
Maintain a safe work record, manage, and coach on the use of safety equipment, unsafe working conditions, and enforce company policies as well as OSHA guidelines and best practices as directed through the safety program
Work with the Project Managers to monitor the progress on a project and adjusting as needed to meet project goals
Display and implement a sense of urgency, professionalism with the focus of putting customers and potential customers first
Encourage employees & yourself to improve and maintain professional and technical aptitude.
Communicate new information to the team in a timely matter.
Improves staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. Also conduct 90-day reviews for new hires
Qualifications:
Capable of acquiring and maintaining a class A CDL license
Ability to travel to local and regional locations
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
Possess good decision-making skills, quality focus and demonstrate dependability, successful leadership, control, implementation, and drive
Ability to work independently, being highly productive and efficient when working alone or within a team
Equipment experience and knowledge (skid steer, welding, torch, transit)
Physical ability to help with general day to day maintenance of construction tools and machinery, lift 50+ pounds, bend, crouch, squat, reach regularly, extensive walking, work outside in all weather conditions on a regular basis

The Crew Lead is the main point of contact for the onsite construction team and is responsible for ensuring the project is completed in accordance with all specifications.
Requirements
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Site supervisor for all materials, laborers, and job specifications.
Responsible for all aspects of safety on site, including conducting safety meetings.
Operates various power tools, skid loaders, air compressors, forklifts, and other related tools and equipment.
Effectively communicates with customer and subcontractor representatives on-site.
Organizes, supervises, leads, and trains construction team members to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames.
Coordinates and assesses all aspects of the site project to ensure the project is complete per manufacturer and engineering specifications.
Completes daily progress reports and maintains communication with manager to ensure the customer's expectations are being met.
Fulfills all regular and advanced installation duties, including project layout, and completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
Responsible for all equipment and utility locations to ensure a safe excavation environment.
Schedules all inspections throughout the project to maintain regulatory compliance.
Schedules subcontractors and ordering materials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school Diploma or GED preferred.
5+ years' experience in a construction related field.
A valid driver's license is required.

The Outside Plant Construction Specialist I is responsible for coordinating, planning, and supervising outside plant field construction and splicing operations in multiple locations. Depending upon workload this person may be required to supervise consulting resources in the engineering and/or construction phase of the projects. The successful candidate is expected to work independently with representatives from network operations, associate managers, consultants, design engineers and construction contractors for TDS Telecom Network Services to ensure that the needs of the company are being met. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of fiber networks while conforming to existing TDS Outside Plant (OSP) guidelines and TDS OSP standards established for the Telecom Network Services. The successful candidate is expected to stay current with National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and ensure our construction is always in compliance with NESC standards. Depending on the area, the Outside Plant Construction Specialist I may be required to assist in the engineering of the OSP projects. This involves, among other things, creating the labor, material, and overhead project estimates.
The Outside Plant Construction Specialist I is expected to oversee numerous construction projects, possibly located in multiple locations. The successful candidate will continually monitor costs and job progress to ensure that construction projects are completed on time and within budget. The successful candidate is also responsible for ongoing communication with various governmental agencies to protect the TDS OSP network from being jeopardized by proposed road improvements and may be required to negotiate with municipalities or other utility companies from a network and a legal perspective for the purchase, lease and/or sale of inner ducts, fiber and/or complete fiber networks.

This position can be hired at a Outside Plant Construction Specialist (2025-28269) or Outside Plant Construction Specialist I (2025-28270) level depending on the skills and qualifications of the candidate. Responsibilities
Responsible for the coordination of OSP projects and/or supervision of consultants who are responsible for coordinating outside plant field construction and splicing operations in multiple locations.
Provide technical support for special request projects such as major road moves or potential on-net builds.
The successful candidate must work with Finance to ensure proper accounting of facilities placed and interact with the legal department to ensure that the company is not at risk in any asset transfers.
If needed, assist in the engineering phase of projects. This involves creating labor, material, and overheads project cost estimates
Provide audits of OSP projects and coach consultants and/or contractors to ensure accuracy and consistency. The audits will ensure compliance with NESC standards and current TDS OSP standards
Review all required reports from field personnel and contractor invoicing for accuracy. Manage construction projects by reviewing quality of work, clean up resolution, proper maintenance of project documentation and continual review of project progress
Ensure that the TDS OSP group complies with Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines and other departments such as Network Operations, Network Planning, Rights-of-Way and Contract Administration.
This position requires the conducting of pre-staking, pre-bid and pre-construction meetings as required. The successful candidate must verify that proper right-of-way, easements, and permits are obtained and designs for proper cable sizing and facility routing.
Verify that all documentation required to complete projects successfully, including bid jobs, build orders, job start agreements, VMOPs and close out documentation is complete.
Adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment to new GIS based construction tracking methods, new construction methods and rapidly changing architecture types
Qualifications

Associate Degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years professional work experience
3+ years experience in Voice, Data, or Video networking.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance
Other Qualifications

Experience in OSP Construction and/or Engineering (fiber or copper or coax) - OR -related Utility/Municipal Construction and/or Engineering - OR - Construction Project Management, Utility Installation Technician, General Trades experience preferred
