ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Tasks will include, but not be limited to: weed eating and push mows, digging and backfilling of ditches; assisting with the construction and maintenance of grounds and facilities; using any hand tools and some power equipment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, often under unfavorable weather conditions.
Ability to lift heavy articles.
Ability to operate and maintain machinery and equipment in a safe manner.
Must be in good physical condition.

The purpose of this position is to assist in the maintenance of City streets, roads, and stormwater infrastructure. This is accomplished by constructing and repairing streets, sidewalks, and curbs; cleaning ditch lines; operating hand tools; driving dump trucks; raking asphalt and concrete; and maintaining light equipment and vehicles.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in varying weather conditions
Preferred (but not required):
Experience in both commercial and residential construction
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Ability to lead helpers or apprentices
