    THE ROLE OF GENERAL LABORER: Under close supervision, keeps facility litter free and performs various load checker duties, and assists with other projects as needed. Shift: Monday-Saturday: 4pm-2:30pm. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO: General Laborer (majority of position performs General Laborer duties) * Picks up blown litter on site and adjoining roads. * Brings full litter garbage bags to pick-up truck or tipping table. * Picks up metal or other recyclable materials from tipping table. * Relieves Spotter during lunch break and other times as needed. * Repairs drainage flumes. * Moves and/or constructs wind fences. * Keeps property clean and litter free. * Assists with covering garbage with tarps. * If working at compost site, removes contaminants from organics. Load Inspector/Checker (small percentage of time may be spent on the following duties): * Inspects and records daily incoming loads. * Keeps hazardous and otherwise prohibited waste out of facility. Job Description Under general supervision, the General Laborer performs a variety of manual labor tasks such as removing debris from construction, maintenance, wrecking, or repair work; loading and unloading materials, supplies, furniture, and equipment; may work as part of a crew with other crafts; and operating various types of equipment and machinery including pneumatic and hand tools associated with general construction.
