Job Description General: This position is considered an entry level position and is responsible for being able to fill in where needed in any part of the sawmill and working on any shift as needed. This position is also responsible for performing all assigned duties as a member of a flexible work team in accordance with safety rules and regulations. Preferred candidates will be motivated, positive and energetic and have a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in an industrial facility. The physical demands of the job include, but are not limited to: FREQUENT standing (2-4 hours without a break), shoveling/sweeping (cleanup), grasping to manipulate power tools, pushing, pulling and twisting motions (pulling/stacking, etc. lumber), using hands and fingers to push buttons and switches, lifting 10-50 pounds (lumber), climbing stairs, ladders CONTINUOUS use of vision needed to sort/grade lumber, hearing to understand and respond to various equipment sounds, process alarms, radio messages, etc., working in cold and hot areas. RESPONSIBILTIES: Performs duties as assigned, complies with all safety regulations and practices and follows specific directions.
