Essential Duties and Responsibilities Labor Contracts & Union/Guild Administration Analyze, interpret, and apply entertainment industry collective bargaining agreements to ensure accurate wage and benefit implementation. Maintain and manage union and guild fringe structures, contribution rates, and benefit rules across projects. Monitor and control calendars of scale wage changes, fringe increases, contract expirations, and amendments. Create and distribute summaries of key contractual changes for internal stakeholders. Serve as a subject matter expert for union-related inquiries from internal departments and external partners. Provide guidance on contract interpretation for complex or non-standard production scenarios. Contributions Oversight Oversee union and guild contribution reporting, verification, and reconciliation. Identify, analyze, and resolve discrepancies in pension, health, welfare, and other fringe contributions. Research and respond to delinquency notices, late penalty letters, shortages, and audit inquiries from fund offices. Run and review fringe and contribution reports to support audits and internal compliance. Request refunds and corrections from fund offices when overpayments or errors occur. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience working with entertainment industry union and guild contracts and contributions. Position Description: Laborers have general responsibility to provide support and assistance to the other skilled crafts working on the project. Laborers provide support for the form carpenters and for the concrete operation in general, ironworkers/rodbusters involved in installing reinforcing steel, and masons involved in the installation of block and brickwork. This is a safety-sensitive position. Essential Duties: · Preparation of areas for the placement of concrete involves final excavation of dirt and rock and fine grading for floor slabs. This work involves shoveling for extended periods of time. · Assembly of concrete forms, laborers are required to lift prefabricated metal form panels and assist in their placement. · Handle the concrete bucket suspended from a crane that transfers the concrete from the concrete truck to the placement area. After the concrete is poured from the bucket, laborers muck the concrete in slabs to spread it evenly. · After the concrete has cured, the laborers assist in stripping the concrete forms and transporting them for storage. · Assist concrete finishers in moving power trowels and power screeds used to finish the concrete surface. · Support of block masons installing masonry work by handling and transporting bags of cement, lime, sand, and grout. This includes stocking blocks and bricks. · Assist carpenters in handling and setting door frames. This entails transporting the door frames from the storage area to the work areas and stacking the door frames where needed. · Loads, unloads, and identifies building materials, machinery, and tools. Distributes site materials to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications. Responsible for ensuring that all materials are properly distributed and the site is swept and well-maintained. · Promotes a safe work environment and communicates jobsite hazards. This includes helping to secure the jobsite at the end of business each day and verifying that all site materials are properly stored.     A San Diego based Construction Company with operations throughout Southern California currently has opening for Full Time FUSER CONSTRUCTION LABORER, in its Corona, California Division. will include and not limited to performing physical labor for; Construct, install, and maintain piping systems, and equipment for natural gas. Join plastic polyethylene piping by means of fusion, electrofusion, or mechanical coupled joints. Installation and replacement of existing HDPE gas mains & services. Measure and mark pipes for cutting. Layout of pipe, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints. Locate existing pipes needing repair or replacement. Verify specifications by performing quality assurance tests. Cover pipes with earth or other materials, and compact using compaction equipment. Work safely around backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and dump trucks, and fusion equipment including heating irons. Loan and unload equipment and materials. Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Assist equipment operators by hand digging, and locating underground obstructions as needed. Work with specialized equipment including line stop machines (Pinchers), tapping machines, fusing machines and other necessary tools. Inspect and test pipe systems for leaks. Assist the equipment operator to dig trenches to desired or required depths, and proper slopes. Maintain documentation per customers' requirements. Assist Construction Laborers with labor duties. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by crew Foreman, or project Superintendent. Remove and dispose of waste materials properly Special Skills or Requirements: Qualified candidates must possess the following special skills and or requirements to be considered for this position. Must pass pre-employment drug screening Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies. Some knowledge of first aid and basic safety rules. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. Ability to lift heavy objects 50-60 lbs. on a regular basis, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to detect unsafe or hazardous conditions of equipment and work environment. Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely. Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. Prior natural gas pipeline experience is a plus. Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be willing to join to the Labor Union and work for Union wages and pay Union Dues.
