To properly place ingredients into containers.
Push racks from blancher room to line or blending area.
Requires continuous attention to changes in machinery or operational procedures.

Must communicate with appropriate personnel to insure quality of finished product.
Job tasks will be performed in a professional manner and oriented to prevent the disruption of the production line.

Participate/support the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) and assist in corrective actions.
Follow all USDA, FDA, HACCP and Quality rules and regulations. Take action and/or communicate with appropriate personnel to ensure QUALITY and FOOD SAFETY throughout each step of the production process.
Perform job duties in a safe manner, following all safety rules
Proficiently execute all checklists and forms relating to this job.
Job tasks will be performed in a professional manner and oriented to prevent the disruption of the production line.

2. Process Monitoring and Quality Control
Ensure food safe handling procedures, and quality standards are followed
Perform online cleanliness and quality inspections/analysis
Stopping production if a defect is found
Making necessary process and/or equipment adjustments
Make approved adjustments as appropriate to maintain process parameters within designated limits
Make recommendations regarding improving process operations
Eliminate any source of contamination
3. Continuous Improvement
Monitor and identify abnormal, marginal and ideal process conditions and practices
Inspect finished product to assure adherence to specifications such as appearance, foreign substances and packaging or labeling requirements as required
Resolve problems such as downtime, waste, etc. by applying corrective actions techniques.
Participate in 5S and 5 Why manufacturing techniques.
4. Operator Care
Perform minor adjustments and repairs to equipment (simple hand tools as required)
Monitor repairs and adjustments - communicate with team lead, maintenance, and quality
5. Communication
Communicate with others to insure proper production flow to avoid line downtime and waste and to reduce and eliminate rework.
Display clear communication during shift turnover
Communicate with appropriate personnel to insure quality of finished product
Communicate with appropriate personnel to insure mechanical operation of equipment
Communicate effectively with all levels (other employees, Team Leaders, Management and representatives of other departments)

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Repair and maintain physical structures, fixtures, machinery, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems in university buildings in accordance with blueprints, manuals, codes and as directed by supervisory personnel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

QUALIFICAITONS
Experience: 7 years of experience working on electrical systems, including high and low voltage, in an institutional or heavy industrial environment. May substitute 10 years of experience of such work in a light commercial (but not residential) environment.
Education/Licensing: High school education required. Accredited vocational training or completed a recognized apprenticeship program in electrical system maintenance and repairs. Must possess a Journeyman Electrician's certification. Must become a member of the Local Union within 30 calendar days from the date of hire. Must pay the initiation fee and membership dues as dictated by the Union. Must possess current knowledge of the National Electrical Code. Periodic update and refresher courses on the Code should be attended. A valid driver's license free of significant violations.
REQUIRED SKILLS
* Familiarity with the proper use of basic hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment.

JOB TITLE DESCRIPTION:
The General Laborer is responsible for placing parts on flight bars/racks, removing and inspecting parts, packing, labeling and cleaning work area.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports directly to: Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:
The responsibilities and authorities for this position include, but are certainly not limited to:
Labeling: Correctly place bar mapping labels on parts (if necessary).
Deracking: Unload flight bars / racks properly and efficiently.
Packing: Recognize the difference between right and left parts / right and left dunnage and bring proper packaging to the line. Pack parts off the line ensuring each layer has the correct amount of parts. Ensure finished container has the correct amount of parts.
Cleaning: Keep work area clean. Combine partials and continuously support inspection. Show initiative and be willing to assist team members when needed.
Assisting on the line: Place parts on flight bars/racks to begin the plating process. Visually inspect flight bars / racks as they come off machine for Gross and Obvious defects. General Laborers are required and trained to recognize Gross and Obvious Defects. Successful completion of Gross and Obvious defect test required.
Willingness to comply with work instructions given by Production Supervisor, Team Lead or assistant Team lead.
Report to work on time and maintain regular and reliable attendance. Call the call-off line at least two hours in advance of start of shift if you will be late or unable to report to work. All shifts have a certain number of people at each line; when there is a call off the workload becomes unbalanced.
Follow system procedures and instructions, observe all safety requirements when operating machinery or equipment, and report any malfunction, quality concern, or safety hazards immediately after observance.
