The Construction laborer ensures the efficiency of a project through planned, thoughtful movement of materials and debris. Tasks and Responsibilities: Material staging and placement Material delivery and logistical planning Tools inventory Tools and gang box staging Debris removal Tools repair and maintenance Attend weekly meetings as needed Communicate with lead man or foreman Accountable to Lead Man or Foreman of project. Laborers must be able to lift and carry debris safely up to 100 lbs. Mixing materials and staging materials will also be a requirement. Must be willing to be trained to operate various power tools. The position uses a motor vehicle and other moving equipment to transport and deliver items, including those that are heavy or large in size. The Maintenance & Operations unit of Facilities Development & Operations provides maintenance and operations services to a university campus spread across multiple sites comprised of +151 acres, 81 buildings, and more than six million gross square feet. The Moving & Recycling Services Unit is one of nine total shops in the Maintenance & Operations Unit and is comprised of three Laborers who report up, through the Associate Director - Custodial & Moving Services.
