By 1969, it became apparent that in order to sell with consistent quality and make timely deliveries, LaForce would need in-house door and frame production capabilities.
An employee in the Green Bay Wood Door Shop started at LaForce in 1971; he is our longest-tenured employee at close to 50 years!
La Force Shipyard was established in 1975 by Frankie LaForce to build fishing boats but later broadened its scope to build tugs, towboats and supply boats.
Our Safe and Well program has been around since 2004 and hosts activities for employees such as mini golf tournaments, office Olympics, summer sports tournaments, financial events, heart health lunch and learns, and provide additional Safe & Well information or events!
Raymond La Force established Raymond & Associates on adjoining property in 2005 and it is all now one yard.
Our Volunteer program started in 2013.
In 2015, LaForce won the Manufacturer of the Year award from the Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce.
In 2018 LaForce launched the Opportunity for Improvement initiative within our Continuous Improvement program.
