Starting out in the jewelry business in 1946, Joe recognized a match between LaFrance’s precision manufacturing capabilities and a market need for high-quality product branding.
We’ve even supplied zinc logos for Piper Aircraft’s models Aztec and Aztec B in 1961, which you can still see on their vintage airplanes today!
The company closed its “ancestral plant” in Elmira in 1985.
Apparently a fourth new plant was opened in 2013 but its last owner, Patriach Partners, has “pulled the plug.”
