Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) is a private
institution that gives students the training they need to become health
care professionals. The main campus is located in Erie, Pennsylvania, but there are also
other campus locations in Greensburg and Bradenton, Florida. Health care degrees that are available at LECOM campuses are: * Doctor of Dental Medicine * Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine * Doctor or Pharmacy * Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences * Master of Science in Medical Education Additionally, LECOM has a Post-Baccalaureate Program to prepare those who
are enrolling in medical or pharmacy school. It even has osteopathic
post-graduate training in partnership with a network of hospitals that
offer residencies and fellowships. Applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree in a related field in
order to enroll at LECOM. They must also have completed a certain set of
coursework and maintained a minimum GPA in their undergraduate studies. Some degree offerings have accelerated options, so students can finish a
year earlier than the traditional programs. Residents at Millcreek
Community Hospital can take certain degree programs tuition-free. LECOM
faculty and staff have the benefit of discounted tuition rates as well. College life at LECOM exposes students to a variety of experiences in the
community. One program at the school, called Bridging the Gaps, allows
students to travel to underserved areas in the community, providing
