Job Description Scranton Counseling Center, the area's largest behavioral health provider, has immediate openings for Behavior Specialists. Both Full and part time per diem positions are available Specific duties involve delivery of specialized clinical services to children and families in settings other than the Center, to include assessment, program design, and implementation of behavior modification intervention plans for children/adolescents on the autism spectrum. Responsibilities include assessment of behavioral issues, identification of behavioral goals and specific intervention techniques, provision of ongoing monitoring of progress, serving as as a primary lead treatment team member, coordinate and participate in inter agency meetings, provide regular supervision and shadowing to TSS workers. The Center employs a strength based systems approach to treatment and incorporates a CAASP model, which is child centered, family focused, least restrictive, and culturally sensitive. Qualifications Requirements include a graduate mental health degree and experience , and a valid Pennsylvania License as a Behavior Specialist, social worker, professional counselor, or psychologist. Individuals without these credentials cannot be considered. Ability to work a flexible schedule is also required. Pennsylvania Act 33 child abuse, Act 34 criminal records, and FBI criminal background clearances, and a valid Pa Drivers License are required.
