BSA Health System is an extensive hospital system providing clinical excellence to the Texas Panhandle and the tri-state area. BSA is acclaimed for its superior quality and customer service. BSA Women’s & Infant Center: Includes Labor & Delivery, Couplet Care, Newborn Nursery, NICU, and Lactation. The department is comprised of 26 LDRP single-room birthing suites, 2 C-section surgical suites, 20 licensed nursery beds, and 20 licensed Level III NICU beds. New parents are supported with childbirth education plus a lactation nurse available 24 hours a day. Along with our excellent hospital based mother/baby services, BSA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) fixed wing transportation team, available 24/7, flies to rural communities to transport babies by airplane from area hospitals to the Level III designated BSA NICU. Job Summary: Accountable to assist the RN and surgeon in preparing for surgical procedures, assist in deliveries, and prepare for the next case. The scrub technologist handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Women's Center CST required to float between CST and Unit Coordinator duties.
