The location of this position is flexible and can be performed from any of our Apex offices or remotely within 100 miles of any Apex office location. Key responsibilities will include environmental field studies, assisting in authoring NEPA environmental documents, and preparing federal, state and local permits. The field studies will include wetland delineations, avian studies, wildlife surveys, and tree/shrub surveys. This position will require travel to project locations and working outdoors where you may be exposed to changing weather conditions (rain, snow, sun, wind, etc.).
Qualification Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in planning, natural resource management, environmental science, biological science, ecology or related field.
2+ years of environmental planning and permitting experience.
Experience with appropriate supplementary wetland training, ordinary high-water determinations, biological assessments, regional assessment methods required.
Experience with transportation projects and public agencies located in North Dakota and Minnesota is preferred.
Proficient using Microsoft Windows/Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Experience with GPS and GIS software preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
A valid driver's license is required or the ability to obtain one.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to operate a computer under normal ergonomic office conditions.

Complete wetland, waterbody, and ordinary high-water delineations per the USACE Wetland Delineation Manual and Regional Supplements.
Write field aquatic resource/wetland delineation reports for submittal to the USACE for jurisdictional determinations.
Complete evaluations for general wildlife species and listed federal and state species of concern, as well as assess potential effects to species and habitat due to project related impacts.
Assist in the development of reports, documents, and permits.
Willing to learn and operate Trimble GPS equipment for field studies and delineations.
Effective communication skills with the public will be required in settings such as public meetings, informational meetings, construction notifications, etc.
This position will require the initiative to think independently and make rational judgment calls.
Understand and follow company employee handbook and mandated safety policies.
Perform responsibilities in a conscientious, legal, and ethical manner with a strong attention to detail.

* Move and position material with hoist and forklift
* Regulate amps, volts, wire feed rate, gas flow, and gas mixtures in accordance with material, weld process, and weld positions

What you will do as a Panel Technician:
Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to assemble control panels
Use power tools and hand tools to fabricate and assemble control panel components
Install and wire electrical components such as relays, switches, circuit breakers, and logic controllers
Test control panels for functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
What you need to be a Panel Technician:
Proven experience as a Control Panel Technician or similar role
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints
Ability to use power tools and hand tools
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Camp Cormorant - Summer Camp Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Camp Director and VP of Membership and Programming, this position will be responsible for coordinating and running Camp Cormorant during the summer camp season. Job duties include but are not limited to programming, scheduling, managing staff, parent/camper relations, behavioral management, and improving upon and expanding current camp offerings in conjunction with the Camp Director. May also coordinate with and oversee visiting community partners and renters during the camp season.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
* Waterfront supervision or lifeguard certification, especially on a lake or open water
* Overnight camper supervision
* Experience in program planning and facilitation for various ages and abilities
* Positive, effective, calm, and professional communication - verbally and written - with staff, members, children, and parents
* The ability to work effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, behaviors, and perceptions
* Has a high-level understanding of safety procedures and can implement an emergency action plan
* At least 25 years of age
* At least two prior seasons of supervisory experience in an organized camp
* Current driver's license and YMCA insurance approved driving record
* College degree in related field preferred
* Within 90 days of hire: CPR/FA Certification for Adult, Child and Pediatrics
* Upon hire, at least 3 hours of professional development that addresses the individual needs related to the ACA core competencies
