Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and overhaul diesel engines including fuel systems, air intake, cooling, exhaust, and after-treatment systems
Perform advanced diagnostics using OEM software and diagnostic tools
Troubleshoot check engine lights, driveability concerns, emissions faults, and performance issues
Complete in-frame and out-of-frame engine repairs as required
Accurately document repairs on repair orders, including parts usage and labor time
Perform warranty repairs in accordance with OEM guidelines
Follow all DOT, EPA, and dealership safety standards
Communicate effectively with service advisors, supervisors, and parts personnel
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Stay current with OEM training, service bulletins, and technical updates
General Knowledge and Skills You Will Need
5+ years of experience as a diesel engine technician in a dealership or fleet environment
Strong experience with Class 6-8 heavy-duty trucks
Proficiency in diesel engine diagnostics and repair
Experience with OEM engine platforms such as:
Ability to perform major engine repairs and overhauls
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical bulletins
Valid driver's license
Desired Education and Experience
OEM engine certifications (Cummins, Detroit, PACCAR, etc.)
ASE Crtifications (T2-T8 preferred)
Experience with aftertreatment systems (DPF, SCR, EGR)

Statement of Job
Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and facilities to ensure reliable operation. The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; support equipment installations and modifications; and work closely with production, quality, and maintenance leadership to maintain plant uptime and equipment integrity.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of food processing and auxiliary equipment.
Execute maintenance tasks safely and efficiently while maintaining food safety.
Communicate effectively with production and quality teams regarding equipment status.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all equipment and facilities at the McCain Plover plant.
Maintain and take accountability for all assigned equipment and tools.
Coordinate daily duties with the Maintenance Supervisor.
Provide availability for emergency repair of critical equipment.
Communicate maintenance concerns, operability issues, and repair needs with the Maintenance Supervisor.
Perform breakdown, preventive, and predictive maintenance on food process equipment.
Maintain accountability for work order completion, tools, equipment uptime, and reliability.
Document repair records, work orders, downtime events, and service needs.
Use computer systems to input work order data and locate parts.
Work collaboratively in a team environment and handle fast-paced, complex equipment scenarios.
Follow all GMP, safety, and PPE guidelines, including fire-rated uniform requirements.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning and any other repair that may come up.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot vehicle issues.
Replace worn or damaged vehicle parts, including brakes, bearings and sensors.
Test drive vehicles to gauge performance before and after repairs
Complete repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
Communicate directly with the Service Advisors to ensure our customers are kept informed about service and time completion information.
