Core responsibilities
Apply MIG welding to fabricate and assemble a variety of metal components.
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to meet specification requirements.
Inspect finished welds and verify conformance to quality standards.
Maintain a safe, orderly work area and follow safety procedures.
Coordinate with teammates to meet production deadlines and goals.
Perform routine maintenance on welders to sustain optimal performance.
Pursue training to enhance welding knowledge and technique.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical welding training preferred.
Experience as a MIG welder or in a comparable welding role.
Strong command of welding techniques and shop safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and related technical documentation.
Sharp attention to detail with effective troubleshooting skills.
Capable of working independently and within a team environment.
Physical stamina appropriate for welding work.
D1.1 certification or ability to pass the test.
