Lakewood Health System's Emergency Department is a Level III Trauma Center that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. About this position
Position Purpose
This position provides programmatic regulatory management, direction, training, and support for all divisions in the North Memorial Health system. The System Manager, Regulatory is responsible for achieving and sustaining clinical and operational compliance to all regulatory programs including but not limited to: CMS, MN Department of Health, OSHA, FDA, DNV, etc. This role will lead and collaborate on system-wide accreditation and regulatory activities, including coordination and management/collaboration of surveys or investigative processes and continual regulatory preparedness. Manages relationships with external health care accreditation, state, and federal regulatory authorities and provides consultation and expertise to leaders and team members by maintaining current knowledge and education base for accreditation, regulatory standards, and compliance guidelines. The mission of the Hospital Pharmacy Technician is to provide quality medication therapy for the inpatients and outpatients we serve.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Quality and Compliance
* Complete monthly inspections of medication storage areas, documenting findings, and replacing any outdated or unusable items.
* Adhere to quality standards by collecting data, conducting quality monitoring, and maintaining accurate documentation as required.
* Manage logs, records, and all required documentation to ensure regulatory and procedural compliance.
Inventory Control and Medication Preparation
* Restock medication and IV dispensing areas within specified timeframes, accurately and safely repackage bulk medications into unit-dose packages as needed.
* Assist with ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing of medications and supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained and organized efficiently.
* Prepare sterile medications, including intravenous admixtures, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition, adhering to safety and accuracy protocols.
Position Type

This role completes laboratory draws on patients of all ages, does specimen processing, some testing, EKGs, and more. Lab Assistant/Phlebotomists will have demonstratable knowledge of basic chemistry tests, hematology, urinalysis and have basic venipuncture and capillary collection skills.
