Allient Inc. is seeking Engineering Interns who are eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in an engineering, laboratory, and manufacturing environment at our facility in Oshkosh, WI! Prior industry or transformer knowledge is not required-our team will provide training across all core engineering practices and techniques used. Apply now! Duties and Responsibilities * Assist the engineering team in day-to-day operations, including part specification creation, SolidWorks drawing updates, bill of materials (BOM) changes, and part specification revisions. * Learn company and industry engineering practices, design principles, and product knowledge to support general engineering tasks. * Utilize design software and proprietary techniques to analyze designs and gain an understanding of transformer construction. * Collaborate with production floor staff and lab personnel to learn testing procedures, quality requirements, and aspects of mass production. * Analyze new and existing designs to identify cost-saving opportunities and production improvements. * Prepare engineering packets that include customer drawings, similar unit references, applicable industry standards, and producibility considerations. * Support mass-update projects for older product series, including updates to drawings, kit sheets, BOMs, and process sheets. * All work is to be reviewed and approved by senior engineers. * Works directly under the engineering manager and receives guidance from senior engineers. Qualifications: * Education: Currently enrolled in a 2-4 year college program in engineering, physics, or a related field. * Experience: 0-4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, engineering, or physics. Flexible hours are available with a minimum of 10 hours per week and up to a maximum of 20 hours.
