QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a ROCKSTAR attitude Ability to read, write and speak the English language, communicate effectively and carry out verbal and/or written instructions Food Handlers Certification required to be presented during orientation/before working in the kitchen Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist cook with food preparation and delivery and/or collect and wash dishes/utensils, ensuring highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation, as determined by shift assignments Properly handle chemicals and cleaning compounds using personal protective equipment and following proper safety guidelines Ensure that all work areas are maintained keeping them clean and safe in accordance with sanitary, safety and infections control procedures Perform daily scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with sanitation, safety, and infection control policies and procedures including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing walls and equipment while wearing personnel protective equipment (PPE) as instructed by the supervisor Safely utilize equipment; report any equipment needing service or repair immediately Use appropriate workplace behavior; always adhere to the Department Food & Nutrition Services dress code Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance in accordance with FPACP attendance policy Promote positive customer service with residents, family members, guests, and team members.
