Position Overview: Operate machine to accurately laminate materials to specification. Safely performs position specific responsibilities to ensure a high level of productivity, quality and internal and external customer service while adhering to all relevant company policies and procedures. Identifies and recommends process improvements to streamline and increase efficiency of existing programs.
Essential Job Functions:

* Maintain laminator machine according to manufacturer's specifications
* Maneuver large loads of material into machine and out of machine repeatedly
* Quality inspection procedures are to include:
* Good fiber tare adhesion
* Consistency in adhesion
* Good registration
* Inspect one time per load

* Set-up and maintain machine and all mechanical functions
* Produce expected quantities and meet daily production requirements
* Work from written or verbal work order instructions
* Troubleshoot problems and take corrective action, make repairs or replace parts, notify supervision of difficulties
* Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment and materials
* Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision, follow up with re-pairing equipment and using phone support as needed
* Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition
* Complete work in a timely fashion within time estimates
* Adhere to company and departmental policies and rules
* Train new hires
* Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

* Occasionally lift 30 lbs
* Push/pull 1600 lbs with pallet jack
* Ability to stand/walk throughout shift

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of a Laminator Machine Operator can vary from day to day.
Responsible to make sure that the machine is working properly, and set-ups for the correct size. Monitor Web substrates to ensure proper bond (glue-ability) Responsible for quality checks and other adjustments Responsible for splicing rolls and controlling speeds Communicate with necessary personnel to make sure that raw materials are ready for the order Pre-heat the glues and clean the gluers.Responsible for reading and understanding drawings provided for order/s being produced Responsible completing paperwork for every order Responsible for good housekeeping practices Follow all safety regulations and policies to include Lock Out Tag Out ProceduresParticipate in established safety programs for improvement Responsible for compliance with all rules and regulations, and for continuously practicing safety while performing job duties Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Education and Experience
Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and up to 2 years of relevant experience with lamination.

Qualifications
Good knowledge of measurement tools Must be safe worker and work well with co-workers Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn product, production equipment, and mechanical abilities Must be able to communicate clearly with Plant and Office Staff

Knowledge and Skills
Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

Requirements:
Must be able to rotate shifts every 4 weeks(1st shift: 7am-3pm and 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm; temporarily 11am-7pm) Work overtime as scheduled (Monday-Saturday) Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., stand/walk/bend/ lift continuously and perform physical tasks

The primary function of a laminator is to finish digitally printed media using materials and output methods described on the manufacturing order. Verify output matches requirements set forth by standards and order requirements.
Essential Job Functions
•Follows all safety guidelines for proper PPE and lifting when pulling raw materials and handling chemicals/inks.
•Adherence to safety standards and procedures.
•Read manufacturing orders and determine materials required to complete order.
•Find all orders that are similar and utilize the same material to minimize changeovers while still meeting due dates of all orders.
•Load orders into feeder system to prepare job for lamination, magnet application, adhesive application, or other processes as described on the manufacturing order.
•Prepare machine for process required - one or more of the following:
oLoad magnet rolls (30mil, 15mil, or 12mil) onto machine and align properly.
oLoad laminate roll (UV, Nylon, or Polyester) onto machine and align properly.
oLoad adhesive material(s) onto machine and align properly.
oVerify temperature settings and pressures are set for materials being run.
•If cutting into sheet form, set up cutter for proper mode, cut margins and throughput speed.
•If die cutting:
oSelect proper die number and load into Spartanics.
oPlace predetermined number of layers of shim stock under anvil.
oVerify anvil condition - replace if necessary.
oSelect proper channel number on Spartanics controller as determined by product type list.
oSet feed wheels (dependent upon material thickness) to drive material properly.
oLoad material into feed wheels and begin cutting - evaluate first cuts to verify proper setup, alignment and operations - pull random samples to keep for historical data records.
oGather die cut materials from conveyor belt as needed per batch or set size.
oRecord total cut count on die board when finished with that shape.
•Enter order through move system and deliver finished product to Assembly Department or prepare order for shipping to next manufacturing step.
•Perform routine maintenance to promote machine stability and dependability.
•Keep dies organized and labeled for quick identification.
•Recommend die replacement as determined by output quality.
•Order supplies for department.
•Perform weekly inventory cycle counts for Lamination and Printing departments.
•Performs other duties as assigned

•Careful attention to detail to verify proper cutting alignment.
•Good organizational skills to keep products flowing in the most efficient manner possible.
Abilities
•Ability to work with and around machinery.

•Ability to lift 50lbs
•Able to stand for entire shift
•Comfortable using a ladder
•Able to twist, bend and kneel
