Dan Smytka is a CEO, president and C-suite executive with global expertise for growing and leading multi-billion dollar businesses with General Electric, United Technologies and Goodyear Tire & Rubber. In addition, Dan oversaw the opening of the Goodyear Development Center in China to enhance the company’s relationships with vehicle manufacturers. Prior to joining Goodyear, Dan was group president of the $2.3B North American Building Systems & Services division of United Technologies Carrier division from 2007 to 2008. As a 17 year GE veteran, Dan was made a company officer in 2005 and is a graduate of their prestigious Corporate Audit Staff program. He has held business leadership positions as president and CEO for Engineered Systems Security division, president and CEO for Asia Pacific Consumer and Industrial group based in Shanghai, China, and general manager of Appliances’ refrigeration business unit. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Dan earned a master’s degree in corporate finance from the University of Memphis. He received his bachelor’s degree with dual majors in business economics and psychology from Creighton University. He served in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of Captain.
