Responsibilities
As directed, carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently. Responsibilities may include:
Develop and maintain knowledge of the commodities handled at the location and comply with company policy and government regulations pertaining to commodities.
Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Prepare trucks for loading/unloading, which may require sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching and/or detaching flexible hoses.
Load and unload agricultural inputs from trucks using heavy or light duty machinery/equipment. May include bulk and or packaged material.
Control and monitor all load out functions.
Understand and operate automated scale/dump systems.
Conduct and properly record daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks including but not limited to lubrication of pumps, valves, and loading arms. Inspect in-use equipment looking for seeps and leaks of process equipment.
Monitor and maintain quality of inventory (may include blended, bulk or packaged product).
Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed and others to customer sites.
Keep all work areas in a clean, orderly and safe condition. Conduct regular housekeeping duties such as sweeping, shoveling, power washing, scraping and cleaning up spills. Complete appropriate record keeping.
Perform grounds maintenance including snow removal.
Perform warehouse work including driving loader, loading/unloading inventory, forklift operation, and general maintenance.
Promptly report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisor.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned to ensure facility operates smoothly and customers receive excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
Knowledge of Operations and/or Business Operations
Must meet minimum age requirement
Additional Qualifications
Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
High School diploma or GED preferred
CDL license or ability to attain one

This role is essential in overseeing daily terminal operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance across rotating day and night shifts.
Compensation Data
Hiring Range: $24.63-$34.62
Responsibilities
Compile daily inventory balance analysis and reporting.
Coordinate timely shipping orders and compliance with specifications.
Ensure timely and efficient product loading and unloading (truck, barge) while maintaining quality.
Perform routine terminal maintenance activities ensuring equipment is operating efficiently.
Maintain cost effectiveness within operating budget.
Maintain terminal operations and customer orientation to ensure outstanding service is provided.
Monitor equipment and operational procedures, make recommendations for equipment repairs or replacements to maintain and enhance productivity at the terminal.
Develop knowledge of USDA grain standards and USDA export loading regulations.
Assist the Terminal Manager and Assistant Terminal Manager to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety programs and take corrective action as needed.; Maintain all required documentation.
Provide work direction and assistance for more junior team members.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Monitor weights and grades of rail, ship, barges and trucks as well as maintain grain inventory quality.
Participate in and conduct employee and contractor orientation: review facility rules, safety policies and programs, regulations and operational processes.
Ensure product quality standards and customer requirements are met with emphasis on operating safely and efficiently. Work with FGIS on daily and quarterly basis, regarding safety and housekeeping inspections and compliance.

Responsibilities
Under general supervision, carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently. Responsibilities may include:
Develop and maintain knowledge of the commodities handled at the location and comply with company policy and government regulations pertaining to commodities.
Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, which may require sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching and/or detaching flexible hoses.
Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light duty machinery/equipment. May include bulk and or packaged material.
Control and monitor all load out functions.
Understand and operate automated scale/dump systems.
Conduct and properly record daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks including but not limited to lubrication of pumps, valves, and loading arms. Inspect in-use equipment looking for seeps and leaks of process equipment.
Monitor and maintain quality of inventory (may include blended, bulk or packaged product).
Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed and others to customer sites.
Keep all work areas in a clean, orderly and safe condition. Conduct regular housekeeping duties such as sweeping, shoveling, power washing, scraping and cleaning up spills. Complete appropriate record keeping.
Perform grounds maintenance including snow removal.
Perform warehouse work including driving loader, loading/unloading inventory, forklift operation, and general maintenance.
Promptly report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisor.

Responsibilities
Under general supervision, carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently. Responsibilities may include:
Develop and maintain knowledge of the commodities handled at the location and comply with company policy and government regulations pertaining to commodities.
Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, which may require sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching and/or detaching flexible hoses.
Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light duty machinery/equipment. May include bulk and or packaged material.
Control and monitor all load out functions.
Understand and operate automated scale/dump systems.
Conduct and properly record daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks including but not limited to lubrication of pumps, valves, and loading arms. Inspect in-use equipment looking for seeps and leaks of process equipment.
Monitor and maintain quality of inventory (may include blended, bulk or packaged product).
Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed and others to customer sites.
Keep all work areas in a clean, orderly and safe condition. Conduct regular housekeeping duties such as sweeping, shoveling, power washing, scraping and cleaning up spills. Complete appropriate record keeping.
Perform grounds maintenance including snow removal.
Perform warehouse work including driving loader, loading/unloading inventory, forklift operation, and general maintenance.
Promptly report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisor.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Job Description About the Role:As Kalmbach Feeds continues to grow, we are looking for a reliable operation specialist to establish shipping routes, negotiate quotes that maximize saving and drive lower cost, and build/maintain strong relationships with both an internal and external customer base. The KFI operations team requires an extremely perceptive and detail-oriented person, who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels. As unique situations present themselves, the successful candidate must be sensitive to customer needs, corporate goals, team member goodwill, and the public image.
Primary Responsibilities
Establish strong relationships and coordinate with suppliers, customs brokers, trucking, and warehouse team members to ensure best practices from determining shipping routes, completing shipping documentation and delivery of product to final destination
Manage /track shipping operations from suppliers to final delivery
Improve our logistic process, by streamlining systems, developing and implementing proper protocol for both internal and external customers
Unique supply chain problem solving
Complete market and competitor research and analysis
Sourcing new product suppliers and origins and pursuing freight savings by creating competition and finding new haulers
