A typical day looks like:
Producing and verifying cut sheets
Overseeing and coordinating the initial layout at the job site and provides continuous monitoring of the same
Providing work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of material by crafts, i.e.,
Providing checking of as-built conditions that require the use of surveying techniques
Providing topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities
Supervising Surveying Technician and Surveying Trainee personnel
Regularly making important decisions on interpreting drawings and specifications and applying them to the physical layout at the job site.
Do you have what it takes?

Your Opportunity
You are familiar with boundary survey principles and Record Maps, Surveys and ALTAs. You are self-motivated and have the ability to work independently and/or supervise a field crew to collect data utilizing GPS/GNSS and conventional survey techniques as well as perform data reduction and drafting of the final survey product.
You will ensure the preparation of accurate, complete and value-added survey work products to consistently meet clients' project goals. This position works on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.

What You'll Do
Gas Leak Surveying:
Surveys gas leaks by walking from site to site
Follows sketches and diagrams to identify gas line locations
Utilizes a Remote Methane Leak Detector (RLMD) or similar device to detect natural gas leaks
Performs visual inspections of gas meters, lines and fittings
Grades gas leaks by level of severity and reports/escalates accordingly
Follows strict Utility, State and Federal guidelines relating to surveying, grading, and reporting gas leaks
Collects data using handheld computer or other collection device
Follows safety, quality, and operational procedures
Completes assigned routes and work orders on the assigned date
Survey in Various Environmental Conditions:

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced **Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor** to lead cost management for a large-scale, mission-critical construction program. + Lead cost management activities across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage budgeting and procurement support through post-contract cost control and final account closeout.

+ Oversee cost control processes during construction, monitoring actual costs against forecasts, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions to maintain budget integrity.
+ Review, validate, and negotiate change orders, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with contractual terms.
+ Manage contingency tracking, commitments, and cost impacts across multiple packages or phases.

**Additional Information**
**The salary range for this full-time role is** **$135K-$150K** **per year.** Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. Performs boundary surveys, topographic surveys and construction layout independently and as part of a crew.
