SUMMARY Westerman is looking for a full-time Controls Drafter responsible for initiating and developing project electrical drawing packages for oil and gas processing and production equipment from conception through project completion based on customer specifications and purchase order requirements. All designs will be accomplished in 3D CAD. All mechanical fabrication drawings are direct extracts from the 3D model with minimal 2D manipulation of the finished drawings. The core responsibilities of this position are for P&ID drafting, 3D model completion, General Arrangement drawing completion, and completion 2D mechanical fabrication drawings. RESPONSIBILITIES Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Reading and communicating scope of work, client specifications, vendor documentation for equipment and design criteria upon assignment of project. Must be able to engage directly with other engineers, designers, and clients to resolve technical concerns. Conduct model reviews for the I&E portion with clients. Create a bill of materials. Ability to meet deadlines. Assisting with estimates. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Basic knowledge of DCS and PLC systems.
