Overview:
The foreman is responsible for the safe installation and management of landscape and hardscape projects including labor, materials, equipment, and schedule so as to consistently perform within budget.
Duties:
• Directs activities on the job site, they include but are not limited to: coordinating workflow, hands-on work, and operating a variety of machinery.
• Manages personnel effectively and efficiently.
• Communicates production goals with crew members and clients.
• Communicates well with all crew members, supervisors, and clientele.
• Monitors all tools, equipment, and machinery for needed maintenance.
• Tracks and records all job expenses, including but not exclusively materials and hours worked.
• Maintains a clean and safe job site at all times.
• Supervises and manages crew.
• Ensures that all crew members utilize all required personal protective equipment
• Ensures that all installation work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards.
• Ensures that all equipment safely and maintenance procedures are followed.
• Interacts with clientele in order to help ensure job satisfaction.
• Supervises all crew members during the performance of all assigned work.
• Reports for duty at the designated location on time each day.
• Follows directions from their supervisor.
• Ensures that all safety rules and company safety policies are adhered to.
• Trains crew members in the best practices of installation as required by company standards.

Requirements
• 5 + years preferred experience
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Driver’s License required with a reputable driving record
• Proficient heavy equipment operating skills including front end loaders, mini-excavators, and skid steer machinery with various attachments; other construction equipment as needed
• Proficient in reading blueprints
• Knowledge and experience in installing a variety of hardscape applications
• Knowledge of perennials, shrubs, evergreens, and trees; identification and cultural requirements
• Highly motivated, self-driven individual who is detail orientated
• Excellent attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
• Verbal & written communications skills
• Good time management skills; be available for long hours all year round
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Able to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and background (i.e. employees, clientele, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other designers)

Here's what you'd do:
A Landscape Foreman will be responsible for managing the installation of upgrades for commercial landscape maintenance accounts.
You'd be responsible for:
+ Conducting weekly job site inspections
+ Completing job site checklist
+ Installation of required materials for landscaping/irrigation/site development
+ Scheduling delivery of materials and equipment
+ Crews production rates, quality control and safety
+ Assisting in job scheduling and coordination of subcontractors
+ Ensuring that all employees are attending the weekly tailgate meeting
+ Confirming that all employees are operating safely at all times including reviewing potential traffic hazards; performing hard hat checks and safety gear checks; underground alert reviews; other trades hazard review and performing general public safety checks
+ Maintaining a hazardous communication folder including all relevant forms for chemicals used on the job site
+ Reporting reckless or dangerous activities to job Superintendent; notifying Safety Office of any accidents and submitting accident reports according to Company policy
+ Additionally, employees are expected to abide by all internal control & compliance practices to:

+ Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.)
+ Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
