POSITION SUMMARY
The CNC Programmer us responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs from production. This role ensures efficient material utilization, accurate machining, and smooth workflow, between design and operations. It supports operators and engineering teams by troubleshooting, refining processes and maintaining programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for routing, cutting, and drilling operations.
Use nesting software to maximize material utilization and minimize waste.
Translate CAD/CAM drawings into accurate, machine-ready programs.
Verify program accuracy through simulations and test runs; adjust feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters as needed.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce cycle times.
Standardize programming practices to improve repeatability and reduce errors.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine machining and programming processes.
Ensure CNC programs meet dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
Maintain compliance with safety protocols and machine operating guidelines.
Document programming changes and maintain version control for all revisions.
Work closely with CNC operators to troubleshoot programming or machining issues.
Maintain and update nesting libraries, tooling databases, and machine parameters.
Stay current with software updates and emerging CNC technologies
ATTRIBUTES
Strong understanding of operating complex machinery.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (SolidWorks experience is a plus).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
Quality-focused with attention to detail.
Ability to read prints and take direction from multiple sources.
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS
GED or high school diploma required.
Programming and CAD experience required.
Ability to handle repetitive lifting using proper techniques daily (up to 50 lbs).
Takes ownership and pride in delivering high-quality work.
Must maintain a dependable and reliable work schedule.
