The Landscaper II is a key member of the UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of each of the University's 90+ buildings and 500 acres. Under the direct supervision of a Landscaper III, this individual performs a variety of intermediate landscape functions to maintain and improve UAH grounds and landscape. Duties/Responsibilities: Participate in the installation, care, and maintenance of campus turfgrass and landscaping: * Perform a variety of intermediate landscape-related duties on campus landscaping, including but not limited to proper plant placement and installation, sod installation, skilled pruning of trees, plants, and shrubs, mechanical weed management, landscape bed edging, and mulching. * When necessary, maintain campus turfgrass areas by mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing. * Safely operate heavy equipment, including tractors, backhoes, sweepers, and forklifts.
