The Role:
The course maintenance position, under supervision of the golf course superintendent and/or assistant superintendent, performs work involving the use of various equipment, including tractors, rollers, mowers, aeration equipment, small trucks and other maintenance equipment

Job Duties
Clears away litter from around buildings and parking lots.
Responsible for fertilization and application of control materials to turf and shrubbery beds. Prepares seeding or transplanting beds by cultivating soil.
Plants trees, seeds and bulbs.
Maintains all ornamental and flower beds.
Prunes trees and trims hedges.
Mows lawns.
Connects sprinkling equipment and waters lawn and flower beds.
Shovels snow and spread sand and salt. Operates snow removal equipment, plow trucks, salt trucks, as well as. Walk-behind and ride tractors with snowplows and/or snow blowers attached.
Cleans roofs, roof drains and tunnel, as needed.
Repairs blacktop roadway, as needed.
Maintains shop, vehicles, and equipment.
Completes daily time report at end of shift.
Performs minor repairs/services in different trades as needed.

The ability to perform strenuous physical tasks in a variety of conditions.
Motor Vehicle Operator's License valid in the State of New York at time of appointment or the ability to obtain a license within three months of employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
