Job Overview: Apartment Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable and hard-working Groundskeeper to join our team! In this role, you'll play a vital part in keeping the property clean, safe, and well-maintained year-round. You'll support the on-site Service Supervisor by handling daily landscaping tasks, maintaining common areas, and responding to seasonal needs such as snow removal.
Key Responsibilities:
Walk the property daily to pick up trash, remove debris, and maintain dog waste stations and dumpster areas
Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, and mulching
Use hand tools and power equipment (leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.)
Remove snow and apply salt to sidewalks and steps during winter weather
Keep the maintenance shop organized and stocked
Report safety hazards and maintenance concerns to the Service Supervisor
Assist with unit “make-ready” tasks as requested
Follow company safety procedures and property security protocols
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to operate power tools and landscaping equipment
Basic knowledge of landscaping techniques and outdoor maintenance
Good time management and attention to detail
Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in a physically active role
Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling required
Able to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, rain)
