Responsibilities
Operate hand mowers on greens, aprons, tees, fairways, rough, lake banks, around tees and grounds.
Exercises extreme care not to injure turf and shrubs; Practices safety while operating equipment and reports equipment or course issues immediately.
Edge cart paths, flymo bunker faces, string trim lake banks and around tees, edges and rakes sand bunkers. Completion of jobs and cleanup of the work area as required.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Groundskeeper are as follows:
* Keep property, management office, landscaping clean by inspecting property each morning and picking up any trash littering the grounds.
* Keep mail rooms clean--pick up trash, sweep floors, remove dated notices from bulletin boards, etc.
* Replace lightbulbs in common areas and breezeways as needed.
* Replace all first-floor window screens upon request.
* Assist with apartment make-readies as requested--trash vacant units, caulk, check appliances and smoke detector, replace parts, etc.

* Install, move and hook up appliances.

* Assist the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Technician as requested.
Qualifications
The qualifications for a Groundskeeper are as follows:
* High school diploma or equivalent is required.
* Some experience in groundskeeping, caretaking or janitorial.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to multitask, stay organized and meet deadlines.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Must be able to assist with after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed.

Monitor water needs of athletic fields along with overall health of turf.
Perform routine maintenance checks on grounds equipment.
Assist Building Engineers with moving of equipment and supplies around the district.
Stripe parking lots and paved playground surfaces as needed.
Keep planting beds and gravel areas free of weeds and debris.
Perform concrete repairs on parking lots and sidewalks.
Assist with any other grounds/facilities projects designated by the district.
Fall
Mow and trim all sites on a weekly basis or as determined by the district.
Playground safety checks
Prep and groom athletic sports turf for the upcoming fall activities.
Paint grass football practice fields.
Prep district grounds for winter months.
Winter
Assist with routine maintenance on equipment.
Prep snow removal equipment for use
Assist with substituting for Building Engineers or Custodians on an as needed basis.
Remove snow from driveways, sidewalks and entryways as needed.
Apply ice melt as needed to provide a safe walking surface and monitor drives for icy conditions, treat if necessary.
Regular and prompt attendance.
Individuals will be expected to be flexible with work schedules and be on call for winter duties or emergency situations.
