Daily Tasks:
The Landscape Maintenance Technician will be responsible for working with 1-2 crew members, and equipment operation as well as ensuring that all assigned projects are well-maintained and well execute. Typical assigned jobs include but are not limited to: commercial and residential mowing, trimming, spraying/spreading of pesticides, fertilization of lawns, shrub pruning, mulching, leaf removals, plant installations, installation of river rock. It's important that jobs be carried out with attention to detail.

What you'll do:

JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Inspects the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings and ensure all common areas and amenities are neat and free of litter at all times.
2. Removes trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to starting the make-ready process, transfers trash to dumpster or storage area as applicable, and cleans and maintains storage areas.
3. Completes assigned minor and routine service requests as requested by Service Supervisor and/or Community Manager, and assists the make-ready specialist in the turn process.

7. Demonstrates customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect, answering resident questions, and responding sensitively to complaints about maintenance services.
8. Complies with Greystar's safety and risk-management policies by attending and participating in the property's routine safety meetings, completing required training on OSHA and other safety related laws and requirements, and by reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
* Incumbents must have valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property.

Job Summary

As a Tree Climber with Joshua Tree you will work alongside a 2 to 4-person tree crew. You will be assisting in tree removal, tree pruning, and general tree preservation techniques. Being a Climber is an extremely important role for Tree Crew. Climber's are responsible for ensuring safe tree operations, maintaining assigned equipment, and communicating with effectively with crew. Climbers play a key role in communicating with clients and public near the job site.
What a Tree Climber does:
Communicates with crew leader and coworkers effectively
Maintain professional image
Provide excellent customer service
Delegate work to Groundman Operations Specialist
Maintain vehicle and assigned equipment
Follow company safety culture
Understand and follow ANSI standards for Tree Care Operations
Must be available to work at least 40 hours per week
Understanding of aerial lift operations
What a Tree Climber must have:
HS Diploma or GED
At least 2 years experience of tree climbing
Valid driver's license
The BEST candidate to be a Tree Climber:
Forestry or Horticulture Degree
ISA Certified Arborist a huge plus (or desire to obtain one day)
