KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Projects and job tasks are to include but are not limited to, working in inclement weather, heavy lifting over 50 lbs., home trash pickup, flower planting, laying of sod, fertilizing, chemical applications, planting trees and shrubs, landscape construction, irrigation maintenance, storm cleanup, shop cleanup, equipment maintenance, documentation, street cleaning, pond maintenance, holiday decorating, working from heights.
Check high-priority areas daily for debris, blowing needs, weeds, or anything unsightly or out of place.
Fully fuel up all equipment at the end of each workday.
Before operating equipment, check for safety, fuel, oil level, tire air pressure, and any other fine-tuning before use.
Daily activities may consist of mowing with various types of mowers including zero-turn and push mowers.
Use of string trimmers, edges, blowers, and chainsaws, among a large variety of maintenance tools.

leaves; clears debris; and performs related tasks.

Participates in safety training, make suggestions as necessary; serve on committees or inspection teams when
appropriate. Works according to good safety practices as posted, instructed, and/or discussed. Reports unsafe
conditions or defects in equipment. Refrains from any unsafe behavior or act that might endanger self or fellow
worker(s). Reports all accidents and incidents (including near misses) as soon as they occur. Follows safety rules and
regulations and uses personal protective equipment.
Maintains prompt and regular attendance; adheres to City policies and procedures regarding absences and tardiness.

JOB DUTIES:
Move soil, equipment, and materials.
Dig holes for plants and trees using pick and shovel.
Mix fertilizer or lime with dirt in bottom of holes to enrich soil.
Place plants or trees in hole and add dirt to fill holes.
Attach wires from planted trees to stakes to support trees.
Haul or spread topsoil using wheelbarrow and rake.
Assist with the installation of irrigation systems.
Water lawns, trees, and plants, using portable sprinkler system, hose, or watering can.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
