Ensure proper care and maintenance of all equipment and tools used for landscape maintenance. Tools include, but are not limited to mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and pressure washers. Perform basic vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs. Cut grass; prune shrubs and trees; clean gutters, sidewalks, and roads. Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides as needed and directed by the supervisor. Assist with trash pickup throughout campus. Keep all roads, walkways, paved, and concrete areas clean, clear, and safe of debris. Install and repair complete landscape irrigation systems. Regular and predictable attendance at work. Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s) such as for operating weed whackers, hedge trimmers, pole saws, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, etc. and picking up leaves, branches, and trash. For safety reasons, it is important to see and hear within normal parameters and possess the ability to move around without difficulty in order to work efficiently. Pre-hire and periodic physical functional capacity tests will be given by a third party to ensure the employee can perform the tasks safely and for the safety of others.
