Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs manual and power tool assisted weed removal from lawns, garden & flower beds, rock beds, walkways, parking lots, animal areas, areas of heavy traffic and natural landscaped areas.
Performs daily mowing and edging of lawns using gas or battery powered mowers and trimmers.
Performs pruning of trees and various vegetation to industry standard using chainsaw, power tools & hand tools.
Waters areas by hand using a hose and/or watering can as directed.
Monitors all plants while working and report any changes or concerns.
Performs snow removal of walkways and public buildings.
Maintains a safe workplace, valuing and modeling safe work practices, adhering to organizational safety practices and rules, and communicating about unsafe practices and conditions.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
Must be personally committed to the Mission and Core Values of the Best Friends Animal Society.
Previous experience in landscaping or gardening is preferred. An interest in plants, especially native plants is a plus.
Must be able to work alone and as a part of a team.
