The groundskeeper maintains sports field and equipment, performs maintenance to grounds equipment, and performs maintenance related work within the school facility. Primary responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): Mowing of grass, grass and shrub trimming, pruning, and raking of grass and leaves Picking up of outdoor trash daily Sweeping or shoveling of entranceways and sidewalks as needed Maintaining sports field mowing, seeding, fertilizing Perform maintenance of grounds care equipment Assist with/accomplishes renovation projects Operate school vehicles when needed Complete general cleaning and painting projects as required When outside work is done or not possible due to weather extremes, or when required by building workload, this position will accomplish utility and/or custodial related work.
