Qualified candidates must be dependable, punctual, have a willingness to learn and be a team player. Daily activities include but are not limited to running zero turn lawn mowers, using a weed eater, pulling weeds and using leaf blowers. Work weeks are Monday thru Friday weather depending. A normal workday starts at 7am and ends about 5pm.
Experience running equipment is preferred but will train the right individuals.
This is a fulltime position.

Position Summary:
The Turf & Landscape Foreman leads a team of technicians, guiding there work, performing quality assurance and collaborating with the department managers. This is a year-round position. We do not layoff in winter months.
Responsibilities:
Work alternate schedule as needed when snow falls, starting as early as 3:00 AM.
Mow lawns using a wide variety of equipment to deliver a professional appearance.
Clean up debris throughout the entire property
Using a string trimmer properly to edge around beds, trees, walkways, buildings, and other structures that may be on the property
Using leaf blowers to make sure we leave walking paths and patios clear of any debris
Collaborate with team members during Spring and Fall clean-ups, and snow removal during winter months

Qualifications
3 or more years' experience in the landscape/construction industry
Knowledge and/or experience in horticulture, landscape design and/or construction, a plus
Education:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Degree in horticulture or a related field of study, or equivalent, a plus
License:
Valid driver's license required for operating VHC vehicles
CDL license, or the ability to obtain one, a plus
Pesticide license or the ability to obtain one, a requirement.

The Impact You Will Make
The Cemetery Groundskeeper at Everstory is a dedicated, reliable and hard-working individual who understands the importance of detail and providing the highest level of service to our customers. This important role is responsible for the care, maintenance, and repairs of the property as well as the safety and security of the employees and visitors of the location. In this position, you will also be responsible for:
Performing all landscape maintenance duties such as weed-whacking, lawn mowing, etc.
Maintaining equipment.
All functions related to funeral services.
Operating machinery appropriately in a safe manner.
Installing or assisting in installing cemetery vaults.
Installing headstones or memorials as needed.
Handling the day-to-day general maintenance duties.
Handling snow removal (if applicable).
Performing other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
