GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Technician is a heavy equipment mechanic that specializes in the modernization and repairing of cranes. This position may perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades; as well as solving complex problems when the crane malfunctions. This position must encompass self-sufficiency, leadership abilities, effective communication and professionalism in an effort to lead field technicians and be the liaison between HCSG management and customers. The Technician position works in a safety-first type of environment. HCSG is a 24/7 service company that requires technicians to be available on-call and provide after hour or even weekend services as required due to customer needs. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Must be able to be on-call and provide after hour services as required. Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes in the field at customer locations. Train and mentor field technicians Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generating inspection reports and repair orders. Communicate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager during the day so that work can be scheduled and completed on a daily basis. Consult with customers regarding all repair and safety related issues and discuss recommendations that will assist the customer with improving their services. Maintain all company issued equipment, vehicle, and assets in a safe and proper working order. Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Technician is a heavy equipment mechanic that specializes in the modernization and repairing of cranes. This position may perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades; as well as solving complex problems when the crane malfunctions. This position must encompass self-sufficiency, leadership abilities, effective communication and professionalism in an effort to lead field technicians and be the liaison between HCSG management and customers. The Technician position works in a safety-first type of environment. HCSG is a 24/7 service company that requires technicians to be available on-call and provide after hour or even weekend services as required due to customer needs. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Must be able to be on-call and provide after hour services as required. * Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes in the field at customer locations. * Train and mentor field technicians * Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generating inspection reports and repair orders. * Communicate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager during the day so that work can be scheduled and completed on a daily basis. * Consult with customers regarding all repair and safety related issues and discuss recommendations that will assist the customer with improving their services. * Maintain all company issued equipment, vehicle, and assets in a safe and proper working order. * Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
