Job Summary
Langan is seeking a Traffic/Transportation Intern or Co-op to join its collaborative team in Pittsburgh, PA, Chicago, IL, or Cleveland, OH. This individual will serve a key function in providing assistance with Traffic/Transportation project work. In this role, you will have the opportunity to get exposure to: transportation impact studies, parking studies, traffic event management for large stadiums, transportation master planning, traffic signal design, and Highway Occupancy Permit (HOP) plans & designs. Assignments may involve field work, technical report preparation and calculations, preparation of figures & other graphics, data collection, and assistance to the Site/Civil group as needed.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform traffic observation;
* Prepare technical reports, calculations, design plans and specifications for traffic/transportation projects such as transportation impact studies, highway occupancy permits, traffic signals, traffic and pedestrian circulation, and transportation master plans;
* Observe construction; and
* Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
* Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Civil or Traffic Engineering / Transportation Planning;
* Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred;
* Familiarity with HCS, SYNCHRO and the MUTCD is highly desirable;
* Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or SoftDesk civil software are a plus;
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal;
* Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
* Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; and
* Reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver's license in good standing.

Solar Co-ops can expect to get hands on experience with photovoltaic systems. By the end of the program co-ops will have gained the experience to be able to deliver a full photovoltaic design from scratch. Our Solar co-op will directly support our solar project managers.
**Job Functions: (may include but are not limited to)**
+ Assist in all aspects of the project development phase - including site visits, building audits
+ Energy calculations in relation to PV arrays
+ Generate energy models and perform calculations to evaluate feasibility of energy savings measures such as PV arrays
+ Produce detailed construction documents using CAD for new PV arrays
+ Field verify proper installation and implementation of PV array
**Requirements:**
+ Pursuing a BSEE, preferably a sophomore (2nd year), or junior (3rd year),

What We're Looking For:

About This Role
Summer internships will range between the months of May and August. All dates dependent upon the university schedule of the selected students. Internships are full-time and on-site in Los Angeles, CA.
The flight software team is responsible for writing the embedded code that runs onboard Varda's spacecraft - enabling autonomous control, data handling, and fault protection in space. In this role, you will help develop and test real-time C++ software running on flight computers, directly supporting systems like guidance, navigation, control, power management, and communications. You'll gain experience working close to the hardware, integrating with sensors, actuators, and avionics to ensure the vehicle performs reliably across all mission phases.
