Provide cultural frameworks as necessary to bridge understanding between parties who do not share a common culture

An interpreter's responsibility is to convey another individual's thoughts and intentions quickly and accurately into a target language. The interpreter must be culturally competent and determine how messaging is intended to be received while retaining the conversation's integrity. Interpreters should also possess the following traits:
Ability to quickly grasp spoken phrases and express the messaging concisely into the target language instantly while maintaining the intent of the original speaker.
Provide language solutions through on-site and remote interpreting (over-the-phone and video).
Professionally communicate and conduct the interpreting session
Maintain confidentiality acquired during an interpreting encounter as required by HIPAA.
Requirements
· Fluency in English and Spanish
· Excellent listening, speaking, and retention skills to accurately convey messaging
· Experience using medical terminology
· Promptly submit timekeeping and administrative tasks
· Ability to travel to multiple locations throughout the designated region.
· Available to work and have flexibility during business needs (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
· Possess, or be willing to obtain medical clearances; TB, MMR, Varicella proof of immunity, and up to date on all vaccinations
including the Covid-19 Vaccination.
