Lanier Technical College company history timeline
Lanier Technical College began its first classes in the fall of 1966.
In 2006 The Governor's Center for Innovation in Manufacturing Excellence opened at the college's Oakwood campus.
In 2008 the General Assembly approved funding for a classroom addition at the Dawson Campus.
When the College opened the new Barrow Campus in 2015, the old campus converted to the Winder-Barrow Adult Education Center.
Today’s first day of classes for Fall Semester 2019 sets a new enrollment record at Lanier Technical College! In the 55-year history of Lanier Tech, today’s morning classes set a new record of 4,613 students starting their academic and career journeys at the College.
