    The Finance Director, Marvin Operations will be responsible for leading a team of professionals whose primary focus will be to partner with and support the operations team with the ultimate goal of delivering on key strategic, operational, and financial objectives. Ensure the finance team supporting Marvin Operations creates usable budgets for the business that facilitate achievement of annual and long-term goals as well as targeted financial results. Analyze trends to reduce financial risks associated with making investments or spending decisions. Offer advice to the Vice President of Finance and Vice President of Operations regarding operational opportunities. Create alignment across the organization so that we have the systems, tools, and reporting mechanisms in place needed to generate needed reporting and analysis. Accountability Challenge performance based on past performance, best internal achievements, and improvement programs to help deliver or exceed the operational and financial commitments. Perform/review monthly variance review of P&L results. Prepare Management presentation material and present for monthly forecast/close meetings, & operational meetings. Provide insights into all cost components (direct labor, plant overhead, production yields). Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain best-in-class practices. Duties & Responsibilities: Help write and implement a weekly schedule for your camp group Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities each week-activities may include crafts, nature, songs, games, swimming, etc. Identify and respond to camper behavior issues. Ensure that the site is kept clean, organized, and free of litter. Communicate with parents about participant's experiences and report concerns to Camp Leadership. Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance. Know and understand ALL emergency procedures associated with the camp program. Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with the camp and all program areas. This includes but is not limited to being responsible for your campers' safety and their whereabouts at all times. Job Requirements: Education classes or experience in camp, youth programs, recreation, working with children, or in a related field. Ability to lead, plan, organize, and implement program activities. Ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to accomplish tasks with little direct supervision. Strong organizational and communication skills. If applicable, current nationally accredited lifeguard certification (applicable for body of water being guarded). Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate outdoor equipment and camp activities Required normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate with appropriate campers Ability to lift 50 pounds as needed Education & Experience: High School Diploma or a GED, or experience working in camp and youth programs Prior experience with children (does not have to be in a medical capacity) Ability to interact with boys and girls ages 5-17 with varying ability levels.

Our popular sailing program, headed by our Sailing Director, relies upon our Sailing Maintenance / Dock Manager to monitor equipment and manage our fleet of sailboats of varying sizes, including X, MC, and E class. The Sailing Maintenance / Dock Manager will also assist in the fueling and driving of various crafts including our ski boats, jon boats, tin boats, and pontoons. Activity leaders are expected to arrive to camp a bit earlier than other staff to complete program-specific training, help with projects to open camp (including their activity areas), and collaborate with other program staff to prepare for the season. Every summer, we serve 1200 campers aged 7 to 17, with 220 staff who come from across the country and around the world.
