In 1963 Oskar Lapp founds LAPP Cableswerke GmbH in the Galileistraße.
By 1965 Oskar Lapp is employing a staff of 30.
In 1966 Oskar Lapp founds the company Contact GmbH to produce the rectangular connectors.
When Oskar Lapp died of heart disease in 1987, the company continued to be led in his spirit.
"S" Glaskabel GmbH, which in 1995 becomes Lapp Kabelsysteme GmbH and is renamed later as LAPP Systems GmbH.
