Summary of Function: The adjunct faculty member is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, incorporating relevant classroom technology, and ensuring course content is up to date. Key responsibilities include fostering a supportive classroom environment, staying informed about developments within their field, maintaining accurate records, fostering and submitting reports on time, communicating professionally, and adhering to institutional policies, procedures, and standards.
Typical Duties:
Serves students by fulfilling the institution's Student Experience Statement.
Provides instruction using appropriate strategies that demonstrate teaching excellence through evidence-based practices that foster student learning. Effectively integrates instructional and classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning.
Develops, plans, and delivers course content, administers assessments, and provides feedback and grades to students through the learning management system. Ensures that course content and materials are updated and aligned with current curriculum goals, student learning outcomes, and course objectives.
Maintains accurate records and submits reports on time, including grades and attendance, in accordance with institutional requirements, utilizing designated reporting tools.
Acquire, maintain, and apply knowledge of best instructional practices and remain current in the assigned academic field, related occupational areas, and technologies.
Offers academic support and fosters a classroom environment that engages learning at all levels.
Responds to correspondence in a timely, thoughtful, and professional manner.
Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in the discipline or
Associates degree, certificate, licensure at the highest level being taught or
Qualify under the occupational experience requirement for career, technical, and professional credential fields with three full-time years (or equivalent). Documentation of work experience must demonstrate currency and relevance to the course content and student learning outcomes with the following experience:
More than three full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in the specific credential field, and
One year of which the work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field, or
Three years of full-time (or equivalent) post-secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the past five years

Site Management - Murie Ranch Campus
Serve as Site Manager for the Murie Ranch Campus, overseeing daily operations and readiness, ensuring facilities, equipment, and spaces support high-quality programming
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and functionality for guest accommodations, meeting spaces, and outdoor environments
Lead seasonal transitions, opening/closing procedures, and preventive maintenance tracking
Serve as liaison between Field Education, Property Management, and Food Service for campus use and scheduling
Hosting & Collaboration
Serve as a primary representative of Teton Science Schools during active programs and campus visits
Ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and professional environment for participants, educators, and guests
Occasionally host groups or events when visible leadership presence enhances participant experience, partner engagement, or community relationships.
Support risk management, safety, and participant well-being through proactive communication and campus presence
Support partner and donor visits to the Ranch as needed
Team Leadership & Culture
Contribute to Field Education leadership meetings, staff trainings, and organizational planning efforts
Foster a culture of curiosity, inclusion, professionalism, and stewardship across Field Education teams
Qualifications
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in education and the workplace
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required; Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in outdoor, experiential, or place-based education
Minimum of 2 years of experience in staff supervision, coordination, or program management
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and timelines simultaneously
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and relevant education or operations software
WFR, CPR, and AED certification (required)
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Primarily based at assigned TSS campus with regular travel to other sites as needed
Indoors in office settings and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
Occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays required to support programs and events
Ability to carry a backpack of 20+ lbs and hike up to 8 hours per day over uneven terrain
Valid driver's license and ability to drive 15-passenger vans for extended periods

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
2. Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.

JOB GOAL: To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to socially acceptable character development, self discipline, self confidence, and pride of accomplishment in the student athletes. GENERAL:
1. The success of athletic programs has a strong influence on the community's image of the entire system. Public exposure is a considerable responsibility and community/parent pressure for winning performance is taxing, but must not override the objectives of good sportsmanship and good mental health.
2. The position includes other unusual aspects such as extended time, risk injury factor and due process predicaments.
3. It is the express intent of this job description to give sufficient guidance to function. In cases not specifically covered, it shall be assumed that a coach shall exercise common sense and good judgment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by the Wyoming Public Schools' Board of Education and is responsible for their implementation by the entire staff of the sports program.
2. Has knowledge of existing system, state and league regulations; implements same consistently and interprets them for staff.
3. Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers all requests or grievances through proper channels. Is aware of all public/staff/departmental meetings that require attendance.

Grand Teton Climbers' Ranch Off-Season Caretaker

The AAC has two openings for the Off-Season Caretaker position at the Grand Teton Climbers' Ranch (GTCR) for the 2025-2026 season. This position is part-time, seasonal, from Mid-December through Mid-April of each year. The Off-Season Caretaker role will encompass maintaining oversight on the ranch when it is not staffed and open to the public by performing routine checks on the named property for snow removal, inspecting and monitoring the structural integrity of buildings, roofs, and any exposed utilities, the cleanliness of spaces from natural and other debris, and provide security to prevent illegal use of the property (e.g. camping). The Off-Season Caretaker will also be available to the National Park Service (“NPS”) in the event of an emergency. During the winter months it is necessary to park at Bradley Taggart Trailhead and ski / snowshoe 2mi into the facility (snowmobiles may be permitted, but must first be approved by the NPS).
Facility Maintenance
Under this agreement, the Caretaker will perform the following duties for, and on behalf of, the AAC, under the direction of the Lodging Director. All services to be performed shall be done in a timely and professional manner.
Twice monthly inspections of the GTCR which include:
Regular maintenance for snow removal (this may necessitate more visitation during times of heavy snowfall).
A thorough walk-through of the property, inspecting the exteriors of all buildings.
Removing any natural or debris caused by storms, winds, etc.
When necessary, inspection of interior spaces if a particular concern warrants such.
Minor maintenance (filling bird holes, replacing door hinges, etc.).
Routinely ensuring no illegal camping or other use of the property is occurring.
Hours are estimated at 16 hours of work per month; additional hours must be pre-approved but may be necessary during times of heavy snowfall.
Providing feedback to the Lodging Director for local needs or property concerns.
Have the physical ability to shovel heavy snow for extended periods.
Have the means to ski into the Ranch. Snowmobiles are optional but must be approved by the NPS.
Environment

Nature and Scope of Job:
