WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the Engagement Specialist engages unhoused drop-in clients in Larkin Street Youth Services programming to help advance their goals. The Engagement Specialist works on a team of Counselors, Case Managers and Coordinators to lead activities, provide emotional support, assess for need and connect to appropriate resources. The Specialist is the Engagement and Community Center lead on client de-escalation and supports security staff as needed.

Your responsibilities:
Responsible for contributing towards the care and welfare of clients we serve. This includes crisis intervention and helping to maintain the safety of the program.
Build trusting relationships with youth while maintaining professional boundaries.
Monitor the center for safety hazards and take immediate action when necessary, supporting security staff with hands on de-escalation.
Conduct hands-on restraints when necessary, following safety protocols.
Handle crisis situations through de-escalation techniques and assist clients as they process social and emotional problems.
Ensure the safety and security of all clients, staff, volunteers and the facility
Write incident reports, community contracts, and coordinate modifications of service process for clients restricted from services
Coordinate restorative re-entry processes for incidents, including holding re-entry meetings between clients, restorative resolutions and anger management counseling sessions
Facilitate weekly group discussions, workshops or mentorship programs helping clients build life skills on topics like conflict resolution, anger management and healthy relationships
Promote wellness of the community through a harm reduction approach
Participate in collaborative case conference meetings with other Larkin Street care providers
Manages Engagement Center events calendar
Document client engagement and service provision in electronic databases (ETO, Sharepoint)
Assists individuals by working with other programs to ensure youth are moving through continuum of Larkin Street services and/or city services while helping individuals understand and overcome social and emotional problems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Under the direction and guidance of the Program Manager, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive, strength-based case management services to homeless and/or marginally housed transitional aged youth (ages 18-24). You will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of bio-psychosocial, emotional, educational, vocational and functional needs of young people; develop an individualized service plan in coordination with Larkin Street Youth Services continuum of care as well as leverages relevant community resources as needed. The Case Manager II leads collaborative service planning and must have a thorough understanding of the stages of change and development. The Case Manager II must be comfortable providing services to clients outside of normal office settings, including but not limited to emergency shelter environments, congregate living housing placements, scattered site housing, and single room occupancy (SRO) placements throughout the city of San Francisco.

Conduct intake and assessment; direct service linkage and referral; case planning and contracting; case coordination and advocacy; follow up and after care.
Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients.
Provide crisis prevention, intervention, and safety planning services, along with stress management and life skills development.
Assist young people in applying for and obtaining benefits and housing.
Assist in providing client resources of outside agencies and supportive services that promote the health and wellness of youth.
Work closely with community behavioral health providers and internal service teams to ensure coordinated and effective services.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Under the guidance of the Associate Director, the Program Manager of Geary House provides leadership and oversight to programs supporting young adults exiting homelessness. Geary House is a Transitional Living Program (TLP), a two year supportive housing program for Transitional Aged Youth (TAY). The Program Manager is responsible for the hiring; training and supervision of all program staff, some program development and evaluation, quality, and coordinated service delivery within a congregate living setting for transition-aged youth. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Philanthropy, you will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding corporate partners, community groups, and young professional networks to expand financial support for Larkin Street Youth Services. You will develop strategies that integrate corporate social responsibility, volunteerism, and philanthropy into long-term partnerships that drive both revenue and community awareness. Your responsibilities:
Monitor and anticipate potential safety and security problems, and attempts, through de-escalation techniques to prevent or defuse them before they become critical.

Check and secure buildings at the beginning and end of each day as instructed. Checks assigned areas (rounds) as needed.
Participate in emergency response and disaster preparedness training and drills.
Respond to crises and emergencies with urgency, occasionally needs to ascend/descend stairways quickly.
Safely and effectively de-escalate disruptive and/or aggressive persons using acceptable physical de-escalation and crisis prevention techniques.
Support special events and activities as assigned, including set up and breakdown and monitoring the event and/or workshop itself.
Attends and supports with restorative re-entry meetings with clients
Support in bag searches and metal detection “wanding” as needed.
Assist with janitorial services to maintain a clean and safe environment for work and community access including daily upkeep of the exterior of the facility which involves litter abatement and power washing.
Courteously assist guests and clients, giving information, responding to questions.
Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and staff as outlined in the Standards of Conduct located in the Larkin Street Youth Services employee handbook.
Maintain up-to-date information on internal programs to support guests.
Assist in implementing and enforcing program procedures and guidelines in all programs internally and while working externally.
May need to move about the surrounding areas of their post (i.e., Larkin Street housing programs) for coverage.

Job Summary:
BWC's Youth Impact Partnership (YIP) is composed of current and former youth clients with lived experience of homelessness, foster care, or other systems who are interested in advocacy, leadership, and being the voice and representation of their peers within the agency and the community. The Youth Council Advisor coordinates all YIP activities, identifies and guides the advocacy efforts of YIP and serves as a mentor for YIP members.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist and facilitate YIP in planning meetings and events.
Attend all YIP meetings and events.
Work closely with the YIP executive committee and have weekly check ins with YIP executive committee members.
Have one-on-one check ins with YIP members, as needed.

Support youth engagement in local, state and federal government initiatives, policy discussions and community planning.

Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the Engagement Specialist engages unhoused drop-in clients in Larkin Street Youth Services programming to help advance their goals. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Under the guidance of the Associate Director, the Program Manager of Geary House provides leadership and oversight to programs supporting young adults exiting homelessness. Geary House is a Transitional Living Program (TLP), a two year supportive housing program for Transitional Aged Youth (TAY). The Program Manager is responsible for the hiring; training and supervision of all program staff, some program development and evaluation, quality, and coordinated service delivery within a congregate living setting for transition-aged youth. In addition, the Program Manager develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community providers, including referral agencies, and resource agencies.

Oversee day-to-day operations of program services for youth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Philanthropy, you will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding corporate partners, community groups, and young professional networks to expand financial support for Larkin Street Youth Services. You will develop strategies that integrate corporate social responsibility, volunteerism, and philanthropy into long-term partnerships that drive both revenue and community awareness. You will also provide support in engaging and stewarding high-net-worth donors.

Your responsibilities:
Corporate and Community Partnerships (50%)
Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of corporate donors and sponsors with annual revenue goals.
Seek partnerships with corporate HR and CSR representatives to drive employee giving campaigns, monthly giving, and corporate matching opportunities.
Secure corporate sponsorships for fundraising events and campaigns (e.g., gala, annual campaigns), in collaboration with the Events and Development teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Under the guidance of the Division Director of Client & Clinical Services and as a core member of our diverse Wellness Team, the Wellness Clinician will provide comprehensive strengths-based mental health services to unhoused and/or marginally housed transitional aged youth (TAY) ages 18-24, utilizing dynamic best practices for Trauma-Informed Care, Harm Reduction, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI), and Restorative Practices. With our typically serving over 85% BIPOC (including 45% Black) and over 30% LGBTQ+ TAY, and our desire to match the demographics of the clients we serve, the Wellness Clinician will specialize in providing culturally responsive care, with an emphasis on serving BIPOC communities. The Wellness Clinician will also join in providing clinical consultation and professional development to program staff across Larkin Street and leading collaborative team conferences.

Your responsibilities:
Creatively utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities to engage with clients and provide onsite in-person & virtual mental health and/or substance use counseling services.
Maintain a caseload of 15-20 drop-in counseling and ongoing therapy clients enrolled in various Larkin Street programs, including with our Engagement & Community Center (ECC), transitional housing, shelter, and permanent supportive housing sites.
Conduct clinical assessments, individual and group psychotherapy, treatment planning, crisis intervention and de-escalation, and linkage to resources and the continuum of services offered throughout Larkin Street and in the community.
Co-facilitate 1-2 weekly psychoeducational groups and/or workshops, such as Crash Out (Anger Management), Risky Business (Harm Reduction), Real Talk (Healthy Relationships), and Seeking Safety groups, with opportunities to launch new groups and/or workshops to engage TAY in discussions, based on their topics of interest.
Join in collaboratively organizing events and activities hosted by the Wellness Department, such as Mental Health Awareness Day, Empowering Young Men of Color Conference, Suicide Prevention Month, Overdose Awareness Month, etc.
Complete and maintain clinical documentation using EHR databases in a professional and timely manner, with NO Medi-Cal billing required.
Provide clinical consultation and professional development to staff across Larkin Street programs on a range of clinical topics and best practices for working with TAY, with a variety of diverse and intersectional identities and life experiences.
Facilitate and coordinate Collaborative Case Conferences for program sites to assist in developing care plans for clients with clinical concerns.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the Relief Safety Advocate provides a safe environment for clients, staff, volunteers, and guests of Larkin Street Youth Services. This role responds to on-the-ground crisis and emergencies to increase safety in and around Larkin Street's housing programs, drop-in center, and offices. You will be joining a team that takes a trauma-informed perspective to their work. Safety Advocates de-escalate behaviors and risks with compassion and care.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Under the guidance of the Division Director of Client & Clinical Services and as a core member of our diverse Wellness Team, the Wellness Clinician will provide comprehensive strengths-based mental health services to unhoused and/or marginally housed transitional aged youth (TAY) ages 18-24, utilizing dynamic best practices for Trauma-Informed Care, Harm Reduction, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI), and Restorative Practices. With our typically serving over 85% BIPOC (including 45% Black) and over 30% LGBTQ+ TAY, and our desire to match the demographics of the clients we serve, the Wellness Clinician will specialize in providing culturally responsive care, with an emphasis on serving BIPOC communities. The Wellness Clinician will also join in providing clinical consultation and professional development to program staff across Larkin Street and leading collaborative team conferences.
This position is full-time and eligible for full-benefits.
Your responsibilities:
Creatively utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities to engage with clients and provide onsite in-person & virtual mental health and/or substance use counseling services.
Maintain a caseload of 15-20 drop-in counseling and ongoing therapy clients enrolled in various Larkin Street programs, including with our Engagement & Community Center (ECC), transitional housing, shelter, and permanent supportive housing sites.
Conduct clinical assessments, individual and group psychotherapy, treatment planning, crisis intervention and de-escalation, and linkage to resources and the continuum of services offered throughout Larkin Street and in the community.
Co-facilitate 1-2 weekly psychoeducational groups and/or workshops, such as Crash Out (Anger Management), Risky Business (Harm Reduction), Real Talk (Healthy Relationships), and Seeking Safety groups, with opportunities to launch new groups and/or workshops to engage TAY in discussions, based on their topics of interest.
Join in collaboratively organizing events and activities hosted by the Wellness Department, such as Mental Health Awareness Day, Empowering Young Men of Color Conference, Suicide Prevention Month, Overdose Awareness Month, etc.
Complete and maintain clinical documentation using EHR databases in a professional and timely manner, with NO Medi-Cal billing required.
Provide clinical consultation and professional development to staff across Larkin Street programs on a range of clinical topics and best practices for working with TAY, with a variety of diverse and intersectional identities and life experiences.
Facilitate and coordinate Collaborative Case Conferences for program sites to assist in developing care plans for clients with clinical concerns.
Ability to travel independently throughout the community to Larkin Street's various program and partner agency sites, as applicable, via public transportation and Lyft/Uber.
Attend weekly individual supervision, group supervision, clinical consultation, trainings, and professional development and training opportunities.
Actively promote Wellness program services across Larkin Street and participate in community meetings, agency-wide cultural events, stakeholder meetings, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) work within the agency.
Exercise discretion and professional judgment at all times, keeping with the responsibilities carried personally and by the agency for the care and welfare of the youth we serve.
Assist with special projects and other assignments, as requested by the Senior Leadership team and the Chief of Programs.

WHO YOU ARE:
You have a Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Social Welfare, or closely related field.
You are registered with the BBS (or able to obtain BBS registration within 30 days of hire) as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, or Associate Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or currently licensed in CA.
You have previous experience providing mental health services in a social service setting, including individual therapy and/or group therapy, preferably with TAY, and unhoused and/or marginally housed individuals with mild to moderate mental health and/or substance use challenges.
You have excellent written and verbal skills, including engaging with diverse audiences.
You bring lived expertise relevant to the BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+ TAY we serve and are passionate about serving marginalized communities, with bilingual in Spanish being a plus.
You bring attention to detail with strong customer service and follow-through skills.
You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
You bring the strong ability to multi-task, efficiently manage priority action items, and take the initiative to fill in the gaps.
You work best in a hybrid, mostly on-site and in person working environment.
You are willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays occasionally.
You are vaccinated against COVID 19.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Under the direction and guidance of the Program Manager, you will be responsible for guiding and counseling clients in our housing programs to ensure that they are on track to meet their goals. You may provide guidance to clients one-on-one or in groups.
This is a full-time position, eligible for full benefits.

Assist clients in understanding and overcoming social and emotional challenges.
Collecting, organizing, and analyzing information about individuals through records, tests, interviews, and professional sources.
Collect and share occupational, educational, and economic information to aid clients in making and carrying out objectives.
Engage in research and follow-up activities to evaluate counseling techniques.
In conjunction with internal resources, teach domestic and practical skills or hold group meetings.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the continuum of services for the clients.
Maintain community resources including foodstuffs (communal dinners), laundry, etc.
WORKING LOCATION:
Any of our housing programs located throughout San Francisco.

We have one housing site in the East Bay (Berkeley).
We have one licensed facility that serves clients under the age of 18. Otherwise, all of our programs serve Transitional Aged Youth (TAY), age 18-24.
