Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs. Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met. Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment. Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports. Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives. Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations. Requirements Preferred Education and Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facility. Bachelor's level degree in Manufacturing or another related field. Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data trends. Strong hands-on user of MRP/ERP software systems and maintenance systems. Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, and Transactional Lean to drive improvement. Previous experience/strong understanding of budgeting/expense management with basic understanding of financial accounting practices. The ability to develop and execute plant manufacturing budgets. Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and implementation of safety rules and policies. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Deliver technical training-classroom or remote-for Field Service Engineers, Qualified Trainers, and other service or support personnel on Digital Pathology hardware, software, and workflows. Maintain training compliance through monitoring on time completion of assigned trainings in the LMS to meet ISO 13485 / 21 CFR 820 requirements. Develop and maintain curricula-slide decks, facilitator and participant guides, e‑learning modules, job aids, and service manuals-keeping all content synchronized with design changes, TSBs, and regulatory updates.
